I have been a patient with Women's Medical Group of Santa Monica since the 1980's. They are INCREDIBLE!! Maria Diaz has been my nurse practitioner since Dr. Karen Blanchard retired. I have also now started taking my 92 year old mother to the group. As the daughter of a physician, who was a GC and surgeon, I am extremely picky about my health care providers and I find that the service I have received is Stellar! Diahanne Payne

Maria Diaz here is one of THE BEST medical professionals Ive ever been treated by. Over the years Ive referred at least a half dozen other women to Maria and the Womens Medical Group; and they tell me they are very, very happy to finally find someone like Diaz and the rest of the staff. I feel very lucky to have found them.

I have seen Maria Diaz (who is not a full MD and is a nurse practitioner--which is important from a medical ethics perspective as doctors are held to higher legal standards for their conduct) for years and yesterday I had a very unpleasant, disturbing experience with her where she repeatedly invalidated things I told her about being a victim of organized crime. Before this happened, Maria also intentionally gave me a referral for a therapist named Justine Roach who is the daughter of Dennis Roach, who has served as counsel to the Kardashian family. Maria gave me this referral after I explained to her that there is organized crime targeting young women in West LA/Santa Monica, myself included, and that it is tied to the Kardashians. Justine Roach saw me for one session in which she gleaned information from me, then told me she only treats adolescents, which she could have told me up front before I saw her for one session in person. Justine Roach has since refunded me my money after I asked for it back. Additionally, front desk staff at this office are very curt and unprofessional. I left an urgent message in April surrounding an assault and criminal investigation and Maria claimed to not have ever received it, which means that someone in the office did not relay the urgent message to a health care professional who is impossible to contact on a direct line. One of the front desk ladies (the older one with glasses) also looked to have a black eye unless her eye is just pigmented that way. I did not want to ask since the office staff had already been demeaning towards me. Maria Díaz also told me that medical abuse is "rare" when I explained to her that medical abuse and abuse of medical authority is real and needs to be adequately documented and not doubted. My friend who grew up in Santa Monica with me, who was a physician at Cedars Sinai, who was a credible witness to circumstances affecting me and my family, and who witnessed hospital abuse there, was found dead in July 2019 about a week after Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking in NYC. I still do not know his cause of death and Maria's response to this, was invalidating and not normal and seemed to stem from her own issues with denial. Maria also suggested that it was inappropriate that I had seen an NYT article about Justine Roach's marriage to a literary agent, which is what tipped me off that Justine Roach is not your average therapist and is a child of entitlement and wealth who is connected to people in Hollywood (when Maria referred me to her, she did not mention any of that.) FYI, most practicing therapists do not get NYT write ups about how they got married, in Pandemic at their parents Beverly Hills mansion. I almost went to Santa Monica Public Library to print out some current event articles for the office staff, like how an LAPD officer who was investigating a gang rape of a female trainee, was just brutally murdered in a training exercise, or how the Kardashian family business manager was found in a trunk after being brutally murdered. Unfortunately, I do not think the office staff would care to read up on current events based on their attitude of denial and invalidation. I guess I will continue on my search for a more empathetic, concerned, realistic, and aware gynecology practice in Los Angeles. Go here at your own risk.

Maria Diaz, Nurse Practitioner at Women's Medical Group, is both empathetic and knowledgeable. It's wonderful to be able to relax and trust her with health issues that are often fraught and sometimes frightening.

Dr. Leong is one of the best gynecologists I've seen, so I'm sad I won't be seeing her anymore. This review is for the front desk staff. Some of the rudest people that I've had the misfortune of coming across. How are you going to be in the medical field and talk about your guests in Spanish like they can't understand you? I work front desk at my job and I would NEVER talk about guests in front of them. Much less in another language. Unacceptable, uncomfortable, and tactless. I get being frustrated but have some decency, it's your JOB.
