    This is an amazing company. I had a wheel get damaged and without any fuss they sent me a new wheel free of charge. And they even reimbursed me for the cost of attempting to true the bike that I had done before reaching out to them--and I didn't even ask them to! Super impressed with their customer service!

    3 stars because it is a nice looking bike that rides well, albeit with some big flaws: 1) this is NOT easy to assemble. Straight up - I'm not a bike guy. Don't know about jack about them except I love riding. Despite all the branding about how easy they are to assemble, you need a baseline knowledge of bike assembly/mechanics to set this up smoothly. 2) After I assembled it, took it for a ride and the balance was all off. Also, the breaking was incredibly jolty. Took it to a bike shop and the guy asked "what idiot put this together?" He gave me a discount but had to re-assemble the whole bike. 3) the lock I paid extra for broke. It's jammed locked. Can't open it. Works toooooo well?? 4) No kickstand. It's really much more annoying than I though All in, decent bike, interesting concept, but harder to manage than they let on

    I personally do not recommend this bicycle. It seems like a lot of people have had a good experience with this bike and their marketing on social media seems to be on point which is why i decided to purchase this bike. I received the bike and assembled it myself which was more challenging than expected. I purchased the cruiser with the accessory lights and basket. The bike is very difficult to ride, I am not in bad shape I exercise regularly and I was always extremely exhausted when I would ride this bike. I would show up to work sweaty and tired. The seat was awful and had to be replaced. It was hard and gave me a bad blister on my butt that I had to get treated by a doctor because it got infected. I ended up taking the bike to a bike shop to get it reassembled and it was recommended I exchange some parts but I couldn't afford it. The basket rusted in a couple of months and I kept the bike indoors. The bike was too heavy to put on the bike racks at my work and around my City. It was such a hassle to have this bike so I gave the bike my cousin who also hated the bike for the same reasons. Someone eventually did us a favor and stole the bike.

    DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM BRILLIANT BICYCLES! I ordered an "Astor" 3-speed bike off the website in late November. It arrived well past the promised date, but that was fine since it was a Christmas gift. I opened the box on Christmas Eve. The first thing I noticed was that the box says "Model: Commuter." Odd since I ordered an Astor. Then I noticed the brakes were not the same as pics of the Astor model on the website. They are a different design and not what I want (the website shows center-pull brakes, while side-pull arrived on the bike). I sent a note to the company asking for a refund since I feel they switched the product on me. They responded by telling me that since I ordered on Cyber-Monday there were no refunds. They also told me the Astor and the Commuter are the same thing (?) and to buy new handlebars to solve my issue (really stupid response to my complaint - the customer service person obviously has no idea about bikes, which is sad). So now I have a bike that doesn't match what I bought on-line and they are not willing to do anything about it. Stay away from these guys.
