I have been going to the law library for decades. I volunteered for convicts for 45 years and I had to learn a lot about legal cases. I also volunteered with others in need when they need massive research for legal causes. I do not know if the same clerk is there, but whichever clerk was there, always super helpful, kind and went out of their way. I always had fun gossiping with them. Many times they helped me solve issues. A great resource where you will mingle with many lawyers as many come to look up legal cases. In fact I have to visit the library in with my next case, suing two farms who have ruined and hemmed me in with massive noise and barking dogs and machinery all day. 98 percent on the road are residents and two percent are the farms and they make 100 percent of all the noise. And I am specifically looking to comb thru the provisions that allow Livestock Guardian Dogs whom are big, and bark big and bark a lot. My tenant has to wear earplugs and it is upsetting him as it upsets me. These dogs have to be trained to bark on at predators but the farm just lets them bark all day long. They ignore my begging. So I plan to crush them and put them out of business. One farm lights fires in the Santa Cruz mountains; three at one point and leaves them unattended. They know the fire department and so they get a pass to start another unattended night fire. But when cal fire came up he said it will be the next huge fire coming from this farm as they continue to burn with nobody roasting marshmallows and attending it, so as not to destroy everyone else lives. So I am looking for a loop hole, and the clerk will help me find one. I am so far up my mountain which the fire starters clear cut, which cal fire said they did which is illegal but apparently they are not concerned with illegal massive logging by a "organic farm." Enter me, I am going to find a legal means to bring peace to where I live again. For my tenants and for me. I am so far up the mountain, that those below me do not have to deal with this, but when people visit from the road, they say hell, no I would never put up with the circus of fools making noises as early as 7 am, and on holidays and so I am after them. The noise is a excavator and it shakes the house for four years. I am done and ready to level them. This could never pass in town, as there are ordinances against noises. But is the Wild West up in the mountains and zero effort to integrate the new farms into our road, just destroying the environment and setting fires, dogs going at it with loud barking as those LGD are known to do, and clearcutting for a few, if they are even, organic tomatoes. With so much destruction and risking the mountains with the next 2020 fires. Hence why I just tested my water for pesticides. That cost 600, and if they do use pesticides I can swing from their testicles as convicts used to joke about when they hear how I go after evil. I do swing and with gusto. Oh lord, the fines claiming to be organic and it being a fib, will sink the mayhem into silence. And the law library will give me the ammunition. No one harms me with impunity.

This is an awesome resource especially for people without formal legal training trying to navigate any entanglement with the law, the courts, etc. The law librarians are efficient, polite, hardworking, and for free will direct you to what you need and even sometimes fill out forms for you. Go here first before trying to do things yourself!!! The staff here made everything a LOT easier for me dealing with an unlawful detainer (eviction) action and within the limits of what they are allowed to do professionally, went above and beyond to assist me. The only real downside is their very limited hours, BUT, the law librarians are also very good at helping over the phone and using email, so take advantage of that free service too! Best deal in Santa Cruz!
