Rip Curl - Santa Cruz

I was visiting the area and grabbed a half day longboard rental from a couple of friendly young ladies and went to the excellent break down the street. Came back after less than an hour to buy a pair of booties then went back out. Returned the board an hour later, put it back on the rack and received a friendly good-bye after I had changed clothes in the changing room. The next day I received a call saying that my credit card was needed to get my deposit back, and the price of a FULL day rental would be subtracted. I stated that I was no longer in the area - was told no problem they would have to refund the deposit through a parent office. When I got back home a few days later, I called the shop 3 times and was told each time that the manager, Katie, was busy but that she would take care of it; I left my phone number and email and asked for a reply back. Its been a week now and the entire charge of $273.13 is still on my credit card. I'm not sure if its a scam or just laziness on the part of the shop.

They are super nice and friendly. Used to shop here. The issue is they told you the wetsuit is $219 and some other prices, and you spent time to try on, and when you check out, they told you it's 18% up of the tag price due to supply chain issue. And if you do the math it is $258. But they say it's $269. It's either scammy or not doing the business seriously.
