Amazing staff and they truly want to help. I would definitely recommend their program to anyone in need of addiction treatment. During my internship a few months ago I saw firsthand how much they care and how much they focus on each individual as well as the families that were equally affected. Its also a beautiful space thats inviting and located right downtown. Theres really no other program in Santa Cruz that has groups this small and personal plus its founded by physicians. Id highly recommend The Key to anyone in search of a quality addiction treatment program.

I've had the privilege of working with Dr. Depinder "Bobby" Singh at two difference hospitals over the past 10 years, with the latest being at Stanford Hospital. Dr. Singh has remained one of the most attentive, skillful, and knowledgable providers I've worked with. As a Nurse Practitioner, it is vital that I have confidence when referring my patients to a different specialty. I can confidently say, I have complete trust that Dr. Singh provides care that is evidence-based, with attention to compassion, discretion, cultural sensitivity, and family involvement. He cares for patients as if they were his own family or close friend, which is exactly what I would want in this situation.
I'm thrilled to witness "The Key" finally open, as I will be referring patients to their programs. I cannot speak highly enough of their team, and wouldn't hesitate to send a family member there. This is exciting for the community to gain such a valuable program, brought to you by the skillful Dr. Singh.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Singh and his team of addiction specialists. His knowledge and deep empathy for individuals experiencing the life changing effects of alcohol and drug use is unequivocally the best support one can receive. And if Dr. Singh isn't enough- there is also the most amazingly talented, Kristi Van Pykeren, LMFT who continually improves the program to reach each client's needs. The evidence based treatment plans, paired with small group sizes, makes The Key the absolute best place to receive outpatient services and support. The Key is where one goes to get sober!

As an ICU nurse, I have had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Singh and have been witness to his compassionate care of not only his patients, but their families as well. With dignity and grace, he brings calm and assistance to an often chaotic atmosphere. His knowledge and expertise in the addiction medicine field are evident in the way he approaches treatment and provides wholistic support. He is also deeply empathetic and personable, making a positive impact on all those walking through challenging times. Being a witness to Dr. Singh, and his dedication to helping individuals and families, has left a lasting impression not only on his patients, but me as well. I am confident that those patients able to be in treatment with him, at The Key, are in excellent hands.
