        Our surf lesson with Tyler was the best part of our spring break trip. The waves at Mondo beach were perfect for beginners. Tyler was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us. My 9 year old son proclaimed him to be cool and one of his favorite people after he helped him create a lions mane of kelp (and surf many waves). We would recommend him and this surf school to anyone considering a surf lesson. We will be back next time we are in the area!

        My kids and I did a surf lesson with Tyler. It was great. He was confident, friendly, and had great communication out in the water. Gave good feedback that helped improve each wave. My daughter said it was exhilarating! My son said it was fun.

        We had the best time at our surf lesson! Our instructor Tyler was very helpful and made it so much fun for all of us. We cannot wait to come back and would 10/10 recommend to anyone!

        Fantastic people here. We rented boogie boards for the family, Andre and Connor were super helpful and directed us towards beaches. Wide range of bikes and boards. I recommend Santa Barbara Surf School.

        I booked a private surf lesson with Sean and Josh. The spot (Mondos beach), wasnt hard to find. I also received board valet service because of the rocky conditions. Surfboards are incredibly cumbersome, so this was a plus! Since Ive taken previous lessons, the land demo was brief, mainly to critique my form/stance. I also received helpful feedback in the water to help me improve with each ride. I was able to stand more than half of the time, and I am happy about that. I also appreciated the push and tow to compensate for my underdeveloped upper body. I recommend water shoes to protect your feet from the rocks: neoprene is probably the best option. Overall a great experience and introduction to surfing in the SB area!

      Santa Barbara Surf School has been takings clients surfing since 2002. We teach private surf lessons daily and year round in both Santa Barbara and Ventura. Group surf lessons are available in the afternoons during the summer. For surfboard and wetsuit rentals swing by our shop. We look forward to getting you standing on your first waves.
