A couple of years ago I was at a dealership in Santa Barbara to pick up a new car that I had purchased. The dealership has some outside steps that lead up to the showroom. I tripped on a step, fell down, broke my shoulder in three places and severely injured my breast. When the dealership downplayed my injuries and blamed me, I hired Jeffrey Young to represent me. We later found out that the steps were not up to code and other patrons had fallen and hurt themselves in the same location. The dealership had never corrected the problem. Jeff filed a lawsuit and settled my case in mediation to my complete satisfaction. I had a bike accident in December 2020. I had severe damage to my front teeth and no clue how to how find the driver that caused it, she didn't give me any information. Fortunately, there was a video camera at the site that recorded the accident. Plus, my friend posted about it on SNS. Finally I found the driver, which took a month. However, she denied fault. It was not easy to negotiate. Jeff asked me to write everything about the accident details and my feelings. My dentist also helped us with paperwork. Jeff encouraged me a lot during that time and he negotiated with her insurance company. Finally we won and got more than I expected. I really thank Jeff's hard work and compassion. I am from Japan and It was very hard for me having an accident like this abroad as a second language speaker. Jeff was always patient with me.
