Master Yun Traditional Tai Chi and Kung Fu

Meeting Master Yun revealed an innate level of martial arts mastery I had never witnessed before - having studied martial arts for nearly four decades. His focus is to teach dedicated students a relaxed, true integration of the whole body, producing startling power that is not based on muscle. He does this drawing fluently from multiple major Chinese styles, many of which are hard to find in the United States, and certainly not with his expertise and direct lineage.

Whether youre a beginner or a passionate and experienced martial arts practitioner, you will not be disappointed by the access youll have to the superior knowledge and experience Master Yun and his school offers to his students. The school, which honors its Chinese roots and traditions, evinces a welcoming spirit to those who enter the schools studio. There are a variety of styles a student can pursue at the school, but no matter what ones interest is, a new world of engaging challenges and exceptional rewards await those who exhibit and express a serious and respectful interest in the Martial Arts. Ive been pursuing an interest in the Martial Arts for many decades, and I think Ive been very lucky to once again find a great teacher here in Santa Barbara.

Master Yun is an amazing teacher that teaches practical forms of this amazing martial arts. Be prepared to work hard and grow. I have seen massive improvement in my technique over a short period of time. Additionally, all of the other students and instructors are amazing to work with and they will work with you to make sure you are the best you can be. 7/5 stars

Master Yun is the real deal, from Shen Yang, China and has sincerely dedicated his life to these amazingly transformational and empowering arts! 1)If you plan on visiting China for business or pleasure, there is no better introduction to the richness, respect, discipline and nuances of Chinese Culture than authentic kung fu. 2)If you are interested in the healing arts, self -awareness and restorative body practice, the uncommon Wu(hao) style that is taught here is an unparalleled opportunity for beginners and experienced alike to deepen or begin anew their practice. In an era of 200 hr certificates, spectacular culture and miscellaneous snake oil, what is offered this studio is a rare treasure. 3) And if you are a CMA aficionado: do yourself a favor, drop in, sign the release form and cross hands with him. I'll let that speak for itself. 4) And if you are a contemporary hybrid martial artist, Master Yun is all about the redemption and uplifting of CMA. McDojo's have done a disservice to us all. There is a tremendous amount of application and technique in real Kung Fu to add to your toolbox. I personally would dream of a legitimate sanshou team. Sanda is not as popular in US but it is a challenging and fun to watch fighting sport. Yun was trained by real old school kung cats with that were themselves or produced Lei Tai Champs.
