Dr. Jacobson and the staff at Sansum Foothill were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Before, during, and after my cataract surgery (one in each eye, two weeks apart) I was kept well-informed, and (during surgery) comfortable. I paid extra for the Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Surgery, and I had monofocal lenses implanted (appropriate for age-related cataracts). The result: 20-20 vision in both eyes, ghost images gone, crystal-clear vision, and ability to read music at 3 feet (as expected, I still use over-the-counter readers for close focusing). The bottom line: you can trust Dr. Jacobson and his staff with something important: your eyesight! PS: You'll also get top-notch follow-up care, and meticulous record-keeping.

I had horrible eyelid infection could not open my eye . It was pain close to 10. NP from urgent care wanted me to go to my doctor of 5 years Dr.Jacobson. I spent 4(!) hours on the phone with his staff and finally the nurse said - Dr. Jacobson is not going to see you today or tomorrow just use the ointment from urgent care! I was in shock and in tears felt just hopeless very upset. Luckily I found Dr. Katsev Eye care clinic and they immediately took me. Dr.Katsev cleaned the eyelid, inserted the medicine and prescribed the medicine. They prevent the septic and complications. But Dr . Jacobson disappointed me so much and I dont want to be his patient anymore. Not helping patients in pain is not good for good doctor!

Dr. Douglas W Jacobson, Sansum Ophthalmology Department, removed the cataracts in both of my eyes when I was 78 years old last summer. I opted for his use of the laser primarily due to my Fuchs corneal endothelial dystrophy. Thanks to skill and expertise of Dr Jacobson and his wonderful team the procedures were totally successful with no disturbance to the Fuchs corneal endothelial dystrophy. Id been wearing distance glasses since I was 16 years old and now I have 20/20 vision and I dont have a yellow cast over everything I see. Im so glad I choose Dr. Jacobson to do my surgery, it was an easy process, gentle and completely successful. Im confident that Dr. Jacobsons cataract replacement expertise will be a blessing to any that need his services.

I have an eye condition and needed plugs inserted into my tear ducts. Dr. Jacobson made the process extremely easy and comfortable which is saying a lot because I'm a bit anxious when it comes to eye procedures. As well as being professional, he was friendly and reassuring, which made me feel comfortable when normally I'd feel squeamish. He is a conscientious and considerate doctor with a sense of humor. The staff who support him are uniformly competent and caring. I like to get multiple opinions and so have been to many eye doctors and would recommend him above anyone I've seen.

I have been regularly seeing Dr. Jacobson for about four years. I first started seeing him to monitor glaucoma, and I am very pleased with his thoroughness and professionalism. A month ago I had cataract surgery. Once again he was professional and extremely thorough. He explained the process, did an excellent job in the prep for the surgery, the surgery, and the aftercare. Talk about a life-changing surgery. I now no longer need contacts. He advised which method to use and it ended up being cheaper than I had originally anticipated. More importantly the results were better than I anticipated. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Jacobson. You will not be disappointed!
