Rosanne Crawford is a terrific woman: smart, personable and extremely helpful. Having said that, you would think she would have better judgment in hiring people.If you use this service, beware. You may think you are getting someone reliable, sound, experienced, and professional but you may be in for a surprise down the line. I would suggest trying them out for a long time before making a commitment and getting some guarantees if they go a-wall.

I had to travel with my 3-yo to Santa Barbara for a conference for 3 days, and thank goodness for Roseanne and Betty at ChildTime. After calling Roseanne  she promptly set us up with Elizabeth Guerrero (Betty) whocalled a few days before the trip to ask about my daughter's needs and strategize about the game plan.Betty showed up promptly at the hotel at 9am -- armed with a cooler full of snacks and fun toys, and was a cool and calm presence with my daughter. Of course when I left, said daughter was bawling, but received a text promptly thereafter showing a grinning child. When I came back home, at 5pm, I was relieved to see her fast asleep after an exciting day full of fun activities -- the zoo, the natural history museum, the park. And the next day, a big grin as Betty came in.Thanks very much Roseanne and Elizabeth for taking care of Nalini! She still remembers Betty very fondly, demanding every so often,  "want to play with Betty and the butterflies"

Very strange experience...Child time was recommended to me by the hotel we stayed at in Santa Barbara ... Ease of setup was good, babysitter came on time ... Rate for a sitter is $20/hr +20 in fees. (Despite what website says!!)At the end of the night gave sitter a 100 dollar bill. Two days later, received frantic text messages and phone messages from company saying that we had paid with a counterfeit $100, and "the police were going to be called"!!!You can imagine this was pretty stressful - not only to be in this situation but to be blatantly accused of a felony without (we found out later) verification of the veracity of this statement.Wisely I decided to have the sitter meet us to give us back the "counterfeit bill", only to find out that the way that the bill had been determined to be counterfeit was that "the ATM wouldn't accept it" and "my mom said it looked counterfeit". Further verification by myself at the bank found the note to in fact be legal tender. So I guess all's well that ends well... But child time should count themselves lucky that I'm not a litigious woman ... I'm sure there are many out there that wouldn't take being called a felon and having the "police involved", without verifying a counterfeit bill for themselves, so lightly!Disappointing, unprofessional, and soured the entire experience. Our next time in SB needing childcare we will look elsewhere. Not interested in paying fees to be treated like a criminal.

Childtime Nanny Placement Service is a great nanny service. I am from Santa Monica, and I actually found out about this service by staying at the Biltmore resort.  Childtime came to the rescue for my wife and I when a nanny from another agency didn't even bother to show up. We were so impressed by the fact that they were able to get a rescue nanny for us on such late notice that we decided to hire with them permanently. I am a busy CPA and was very turned off by the quality seen in LA nanny agencies. So, I chose Childtime for a live-in permanent nanny down in Santa Monica. The director that deals with these placements is Rosanne. She was able to work with me not only on price but also on getting a great, reliable nanny. We have had the nanny now for over a year and I could not be more pleased.
