Hayward Lumber

I recently gave santa barbara haywards a unfair review, I'm adjusting my comments because its not fair what has happened to them over the last few years, all of us here in S.B. have been blown away by the fast pace of growth in our region, nobody has been able to keep up the pace. The S.B. yard was perfect for how things used to be, uncrowed, simple & inexpensive, but all that has changed, it appears we are in a race for self destruct by over development of what used to be a simple quiet community. So I apologize for my earlier comments to Haywards in S.B. & wish us all luck of surviving this population growth out of control!!!

If you need a high quality lumber, not the cheap stuff this is the place to go. You'll find professionals shopping their mainly contractors and such but they totally help the regular home project to do it yourself kind of guy. They helped me a lot for I didn't know exactly what I needed, they were informative and patient. A place to get the good stuff

We are doing a remodel and needed an exterior door and window.  It was an 8 month wait for the products to arrive, and when they did, everything about them was wrong.  We were told that that happens all the time and that they would send it back and order new ones.  Um, no thank you.  The existing doors and window that we have are Anderson, which they don't carry.  We went to Builders First Source and they got everything right on the first try, even though it cost us another 8 months.  We'll never go back to Hayward.
