Ivy at Carrillo

Absolutely horrific. The management is completely unresponsive to tenant complaints. There is one apartment In the complex full of tenants who are absolutely terrorizing the rest of the residents with noise at all hours, constant excessive drug and alcohol use and threats of physical violence against anyone who complains and the management does absolutely nothing about it. Repeated calls to "Dustin", the supposed manager, go absolutely nowhere and receive no response. We're looking into taking legal action to break our lease.

Absolutely awful. There is an apartment full of dudes who are drunk and high all day, everyday. They are harassing other tenants with noise and threats at all hours of the day-and-night. These guys literally mocked the police and slammed the door in their faces.. Management has been completely unresponsive. The situation is unlivable and people are actually afraid for their safety. Do not move in here! We're looking to get out of here as fast as we can.

Ive been living here for about 7 months and I barely have any complaints. Management is pretty great, they usually answer calls right away and have a 24 hour maintenance emergency hotline. You can pay rent online which is really easy. The apartments are nice, nothing super fancy but theyre clean, updated, and everything works. Plus some of the apartments come furnished which is great, and utilities and wifi are included which is super convenient since Im a student. I only have 3 qualms, mostly just situational and cant really be fixed by management, but good to keep in mind if youre thinking of moving here: 1. Two of the washing machines have been out of order the whole time Ive lived here and some of the dryers dont dry all the time, but its not a big deal and I can always manage get my laundry done. 2. Not managements fault, but my bike seat got stolen when I locked it outside, so I keep it inside now. Just something to look out for if you have a bike. 3. The parking lot entrance/exit is pretty dangerous as Carrillo is a busy street, and its tricky getting out. Getting in is pretty easy if youre coming from the East. Again not managements fault, but its definitely an adjustment if youre used to living on a quiet street. Overall I would definitely recommend living here, especially if youre an SBCC student!

Recently moved in the front of the complex. Nothing to complain about at all so far, noise level is always minimal, friendly neighbors and is obviously a student residence. Although some neighbors seem to want to live here with entire families and in a group living situation with students they expect 100% silence which is not possible to expect even during the day. Staff is helpful and tries to keep everyone happy. I would discourage families and professionals from living here, but is a great place to live for a second or third year college student wanting to get away from the party scene. Very close to downtown and the city college making it easy to go out and get to class.

I'm sure it has great potential. I like my updated apartment even though it's an older set of bones, nice layout and walk in closet. At this instant I hear a football game, and three different songs playing. I have talked to management and have personally asked these people to be quiet. Unless you're willing to call the cops most nights to keep it palatable, choose elsewhere.
