ABSOLUTELY and completely WORTHLESS! Don't even waste your time calling, because they have nothing at all for homeless or poor people. They just send you on a trip to nowhere, by suggesting you call other numbers. The homeless funding pays these people to answer the phone. But, they have nothing to offer! It's a complete scam and a waste of California's tax dollars. The WORST part is they will claim there is housing available, so you listen and think it's worth trying. But, after calling a dozen of the numbers they gave you, all you have received is MORE phone numbers to call. So, that's the scam. You call and call and end up with NOTHING! You call 211 and get a new number to call. Then, you call the new number and they give another new number! NOBODY actually provides anything. They make a complete fool out of you by telling you to call more phone numbers. That's it. There's absolutely NO services. All you did was run your phone battery dead on phone calls to places that just give you more phone numbers. This is cruel to do this to poor people in need. They should put this nonsense out of business and save the tax dollars. Imagine showing a hungry person a picture of food and telling them to call this number to get it. You call, and the next place shows you a picture of food, and you get a new number to call. But, no matter how many calls you make, you simply end up with nothing. What a REAL agency would do is take your name and address and send someone out THAT DAY to move you to temporary housing, until they have permanent housing available for you. But, there's NOTHING at all like that. Not even close. Why can't they just be honest, for god's sake? So forget about help coming to rescue you! Get a job and buy a car so at least you're out of the elements. Then, buy or build some sort of home on wheels as you earn more money. Finally, accept that this is how you will spend the remainder of your life. So, make sure your home on wheels has all the requirements of a real home. It's all up to you, to provide for yourself. Learn that now and for forever! Honestly, did you really think any government agency was ready and willing to come help you? Of course not! You learned a very important life lesson today. Whatever you make of your life is all up to YOU! Remember that! So, make a plan for a better future! Good luck with that. Bye now!

Its not great. People hang up on you. When you first call 211, if you wait a few seconds too long the call machine will freak out and go all robotic. Then hang up on you. Some people working here will only give you, the place cellphone number. So dont even bother asking them full questions or you will be told that you are lazy, and to find it yourself. When Im reality you just have anxiety and hate talking to people and the experiences with operates you encountered with only further proves your point.

The real truth about 211, it's a freaking joke. They absolutely have the worst resources especially if you're from out of town or is you're new to the area you literally have to live in the city for like years before they even like will help you. It's so absurd and so asinine that literally I was told while there's nothing we can do there's requirements and since you're not from here hence I moved here for work opportunity not to mention I have a job but it doesn't really matter what you have or what how much footwork you do they do not care about their people or people in general. Every resource that was forwarded to me was an absolute best. When I was stuck out in the rain I was basically told to just go hang out at a library or hang out at the mall not to mention I don't have a car so I was literally told hey you can walk an hour and 7 minutes out of your way or 47 minutes out of your way to get out of the rain other than that since I have a job but no place to lay my head at night I just need to figure it out. Like the best I could do for me was sit there and talk to amongst each other but you can hear them in the background throwing out stupid absurd suggestions like who tell someone to basically go hang out under a bridge or hang out under somewhere that's covered and basically you're on your own you walk the streets if you just got to figure it out because you have no quote on quote ties to the city. I guarantee you and I promise this on everything that I love once I get back on my feet I'm going to push for a change in how they give resources and and to whom resources are available too cuz this makes no sense for someone to or anybody to relocate and basically do what they can to get on their feet with having a job and basically being told and you know what just going to have to figure it out what's the point of 211 what's the point of resources what's the point of any of this and as a native American I just feel like I just been crapped on like I should even have to be in a situation like this however it is what it is like if you're not from here and if you're not tied to the city do not and I absolutely promise you this do not use 211. You will basically be wasting your time. And before anyone tries to respond trying to be cute to this post I have screenshots and I have phone conversations recorded just to show proof that these people out here do not give a damn at all. But it is what it is and this experience has made me better spiteful and just absolutely resentful and at the end of the day I'll be all right I'll figure it out on my own like I always do the blessing of it all is that at least I have a full-time job so resource in the resource I don't even use my native American benefit so why should I even use theirs.
