California Pizza Kitchen at Santa Ana

There Chicken Piccata is good to the point I prefer more of the pasta and only one piece of the chicken. The pizza I got was good but it took a while for it to arrive. I think after the pandemic it's been hard for them to survive for instance they don't have enough employees. Also they switched the lighting which is not as nice as it used to be I hope in the future they can change it back to the warm lighting. It would be cool too if they can remodel this place a bit.

Great parking accommodations at this location (plentiful & free). Atmosphere was loud and had a family vibe. I typically always enjoy CPKs TEQUILA CHICKEN PASTA but the portion size for chicken was disappointing! The bread was WARM, FRESH, and together with the infused oil was DELICIOUS! Server was FRIENDLY, SMILED, but was incredibly busy! I had to ask twice to get the counter wiped because it was sticky, refill for my beverage, and prior to receiving the bill I questioned the chicken portion which I never do! As I was served my bill, I asked about the take home pizza special. I added a pepperoni & mushroom take home pizza which was delivered by the manager on my way out the door. Later that same evening , I baked the pizza thinking it was pepperoni and mushroom. Unfortunately, after a few bites in, my face was on fire and my eyes watering which resulted in me wasting the pizza. for a better experience the next time I visit CPK

Excellent service from Daniela and Elizabeth tonight! It was a busy Thursday night but our drinks were always full and we got our food in a timely manner. You can tell this location is well managed.

Want to start off by saying my rating is solely based off my experience on 3/23/2024. We arrived during the dinner rush & the host kindly let us know itd be a 10 minute wait, which we had no problem with. The supervisor or manager came & questioned the host & ended up being extremely rude & demeaning to the host because we didnt get seated immediately? It didnt stop there though the same supervisor was visibly stressed & was putting that stress on his employees & was being rude to them. It was uncomfortable & obvious to the public. I understand that there was a dinner rush & Im sure they were understaffed but as someone that has worked retail a supervisor shouldnt use that as an excuse to throw demands & attitude at their workers. I did see that he was doing his part by serving food when it was ready & trying to help in other ways, but he really failed at staying professional & respectful to his workers. I really felt for his team. The waiters & host did such an AMAZING job at hustling during the rush even with their boss making the situation worse. Im hoping Adan (supervisor) reads this review & really works on his teamwork skills. His team deserves a better leader & I think he can be that person if he just took a chill pill & learned to give constructive feedback at an appropriate to his workers rather than threatening to send them home (yes we witnessed his say this to the host).
