And most importantly she was there for me. It never felt like a money thing. It was felt like a Whats in my best interest thing. She settled my case and I couldnt be happier or more appreciative. My family hired Ben Ikuta for a real estate dispute that went to trial a few months ago. Without getting too into details, it was a we said/they said situation with the other side having slightly more advantage then we did. However, Ben was confident that he could win our case. He was always a pleasure to work with, was responsive, and gave our case a wagonload of attention. Ben's eye for detail was highly impressive - when going through our documents he was able to spot evidence that we had overlooked, or didn't think was significant. He did an incredible job in court, and was able to persuade the judge to rule completely in our favor. My family is also acquainted with a retired judge, and at some point during our case we asked him what he thought about our chances. At the time he gave a kind of non-committal answer, which we understood because it really could have gone either way, but after he heard that we won the trial he sought my family out to congratulate us and to admit that he actually DIDN'T think we could have won with the little evidence we had, and said we must have had a good lawyer! So we are eternally grateful to Ben who saved our family from a lot of stress, worry and heartache (not to mention tens of thousands of dollars had we lost the case). I also have to mention that real estate is NOT Ben's specialty - he specializes in medical malpractice, so if he could do such an incredible job on a case he doesn't have particularly wide experience in, I can only imagine how effective he is as a medical malpractice lawyer. No matter what kind of case, Ben always has his eyes on the prize. I would not want to be the person going up against him in court! Hopefully I will never have need of a medmal lawyer, but if I did I would not hesitate to recommend Ben.

Ben slam-dunked a complex case for us. We could not have had a better outcome. He was compassionate, concerned and passionate about our case. He spoke to us during the day and evening, when necessary, a rare availability in today's legal climate where you are lucky to get your lawyer on the phone. As an attorney, myself, I was able to evaluate his strategies, thought processes and legal expertise and found them superlative. His knowledge of the law is encyclopedic and numerous times during depositions he had to correct opposing counsel's misconception of applicable statutes. His application of legal theories facilitated a generous settlement. Ben is a critical, compassionate thinker and the kind of advocate I wish all injured parties had.

When four out of five attorneys had already turned us down, because they didnt think there was enough money for them. Ben and his office took us on a leap of faith. He listened very carefully to what we had to say, and fought like a gladiator against one of the largest hospitals in California. The outcome was fantastic, and we could not have done it without him.
