Im a current resident here, have been for several years, so I can speak fully on the quality of life at this apartment complex. It is not a nightmare living here, but I can say we havent been happy during our stay.
To start, its roach infested. Have had our unit fumigated and they come right back after a couple weeks, and we are exceedingly clean people.
I work from home and there are nearly weekly water shutoffs of the whole building (which is ridiculous) for hours and it is so inconvenient.
The maintenance staff are super nice and great to work with but the front office while kind is mostly unhelpful. They can never give us a straight answer on when work/maintenance/extermination coming. Theyll tell us one day or time and I think theyve only come on time on the correct day once in the almost three years weve lived here.
We were on the waitlist for an additional parking space for months, and ant the time were told we were 8th in line. After checking after 5 months of waiting where we were they proceeded to tell us that we were not on the list???
The outside of the building is surrounded by bars/homeless people so there is a constant smell of trash and urine around the perimeter.
The water often smells like rotten eggs, which is a sign that the water heater hasnt been tended to in a long time. The walls are thin so you do hear everything, although this doesnt bother me much.
Our windows leak like waterfalls every time it rains, we will have buckets filled with water. Maintenance has come in multiple times to fix it and it still isnt fixed.
The floors you can feel are uneven going from each side of the unit. There are cracks in the walls where there are like seams, it makes me feel like the foundation of the building or something is bad and unsafe.
Weve had stuff stolen from our locked storage locker in the garage before and while there is security that Ive seen, I have also witnessed homeless people or suspected nonresidents snooping around looking to the lockers and peoples cars casing the place.
Most of our neighbors are fine but weve experienced dog poop, urine, trash, spilled liquids in the hallways and elevators. Speaking of the elevators they go down all the time. One of our neighbors has a disability and have witnessed him struggling to climb down three floors because the elevators are always out. And touching back on the neighbor thing there has been multiple times that people have stolen things out of the parcel room. Although I will say anything delivered to our door is fine.
This place has served its purpose for us, but we will be glad when were out.

They have been shutting the water off periodically during the morning for the last 3 YEARS, the elevator always breaks, they have the sprinkler guys inspect you home like 4 times a year, very noisy, and people break in to your cars. I've honestly never been more inconvenience in my life by a apartment complex. The only plus is that it is located in DSTA and thats it. Water was turned off again today. It was turned back on 4 hours later with no hot water.9/21/23

I moved in a week ago so I can't speak much to the long term/maintenance experiences.
The move in process was very pleasant, Wendy and Livette were super helpful. So far it's been great, I with there was more parking but that seems to be an issue everywhere.
