We were referred to Darren by one of his clients and started working with him last fall. We have a large-ish backyard which needed some TLC and our goal was to create some organized space that we could entertain in. Darren took our goal and worked with us on creating an incredible vision. He walked every step of the way with us, from collaborating on the master plan; drawing up the construction documents and helping us find the right contractors to implement the ideas. I would never work with anyone else. He is a genius at what he does: incredibly creative and resourceful. But more importantly, Darren is kind, helpful, patient and thinks out the box. I really can't imagine there is anyone out there better at landscape design than Darren.

We were referred to Darren at Land Studio C by two friends in the area.  They were both extremely happy with the design and highly recommended we contact Darren if we decided to renovate our yard.  When we finally decided enough was enough we reached out to Darren.  He was quick to respond and flexible in meeting with my husband and I after hours.Our property was mismatch of hardscapes, fruit trees and plants.  We had a small deck, pavers, bricks and all kinds of different plants.  Darren spent a lot of time working with us both on our vision and differing ideas.  He was very flexible.His prices are very reasonable, especially for his availability and the high quality job he delivers. We had him design the front and backyards; incorporating a spacious deck, artificial turf, concrete stepping stones, horse troughs for veggies, a new drive way and courtyard and all new low water/ maintenance plants.    He drew up a whole planting plan and gave us a lot of options along the way.  He also incorporated some steel pieces that we've yet to order yet but plan to do next spring.  Darren has always been available for a quick consultation on plant choices or to provide a recommendation or referral.Darren was always on time for our appointments, and most importantly, he delivered without disappointment.We've recommended him to at least 5 other people since he completed our job and we look forward to working with him again in the near future.

I never realized how creative and how valuable Land Studio C would be until we started working together to understand our thoughts and wishes to design and  transform our wild, overgrown, steep, unusable Mont Marin backyard hill into a beautiful, natural, functional and usable property.  From our initial meeting with Darren, I knew he was the one.  Our first meeting was on the hill, and in his boots, started to trek around while asking questions. Before Land Studio C, we thought we had an idea of how to design the hill, and after Darren listened, he started to point out the realistic challenges.  When I asked what he thought, he blew me away with his creative ideas that I never would have conceptualized, nor even possible. Land Studio C made the process simple and convenient, and full of value with his knowledge of hardscaping and landscaping to fall within our budget. He presented a full-scale architectural plan that gave us more than we could have imagined. It was easy to understand  and included flowers, plants and trees that are modern, interesting, and low maintenance. But best of all he gave us sun and amazing space to entertain and enjoy.  I absolutely recommend Land Studio C for any job, as he delivered on his promise, and transformed a useless overbearing hillside into a space that will yield fruits and vegetables, family memories, and everyday enjoyment.

Our landscaping looks amazing!  Darren from Land Studio C worked with us every step of the way.  Our front yard was an overgrown mess of lava rocks and ivy.  Darren designed a beautiful, contemporary plan that has transformed our home and given it great curb appeal.  Our neighbors keep stopping by to comment on how beautiful it looks!  Darren encouraged us to reclaim that valuable square footage and created a beautiful modern patio that we can use for relaxing and entertaining.  When the initial plans proved to be out of our budget, Darren worked with us to scale back the design, recommending more cost-effective materials and reducing the scale of some elements.   Honestly, we can't find anything missing in the result!  Darren also was great at communicating with our contractor, answering questions about the design and helping to problem-solve along the way.  We will definitely recommend Land Studio C to our friends.
