Why not take Medicare? The sickest people are on it and they need your help Dr Gordon. Why not offer sooome form of help?! Charging nearly $1000 out of pocket, out the door is cruel. I am sure that you live a much better life than those who you refuse to help. You could help some of us who are bedridden and desperately scared for our lives, through sliding scale, trade, lottery sessions, or simply accepting medicare. If you really really cared about helping suffering people, you would do SOMEthing for them. You have the ability to give suffering people hope again. Still, you do not help.

I have had pretty good experiences with Dr. Gordon and his office.  Yes, it is expensive, but when some of the treatments aren't "mainstream", you run into issues with insurance.  So it's better to not accept any insurance at all than be limited in your treatment options.  Yes, the doctors are a bit expensive, but as long as you concentrate on one issue and not ramble, you can get by with shorter office visits.  They've never charged me for emails or phone calls if they aren't too involved.The office is worked pretty hard, but a lot of the patients there seem to have been ill for quite a long time and have complex issues.  I was seen for hormone balancing and those doctors were the first doctors to actually listen to what was going on with me.  They looked at the "whole picture"... my diet, my blood tests, everything.  The email system works well, if you remember that you're not the only patient they see and can be a little patient while waiting for replies.  The herbs they offer are a good alternative to medication.I love that the office is a scent-free office, as strong scents can give headaches.  The staff is really sweet, too and very caring.

This is the office that claims to have the cure to Lyme Disease and other hard to treat ailments such as Chronic Fatigue, etc.  Because these health situations are not covered by insurance, you are paying out of your own pocket for these doctors in this practice.  Dr. Gordon is something like $700/hour.  Robbery!  I saw Mara Williams, she was $385.  They say they will follow up with you and answer your emails afterward, and that since they work with many people from SF, you can have phone consults instead of paying in person (but they take your credit card # and charge you for any sort of phone call or an email that makes them "look up something.")  And the phone calls are in the hundreds per hour.If it was worth it, so be it.  But Mara was 25 mins late seeing me, then she hadn't looked over the lengthy paperwork that I was told to complete and scan and email ahead of time, so she took valuable time from our visit to read the paperwork in front of me (I drove in from the city to sit and watch you read and pay out the wazoo for that??)  Then she suggested a bunch of vitamins that I'd taken years ago to no avail.  Finally, she decided to "prescribe" me some herbal tinctures that she said I could purchase at the front desk, and the instructions on how to take them would be give to me after I paid.    The herbs were disgustingly over-priced and I found I could buy them online for sometimes less than half of what this office charged, and there was such a long process for checkout with the person before me, I didn't pay attention to all the paperwork and discovered there was no instruction sheet on taking them.   The office has one overworked and totally incompetent email-answerer, named Kelly.  If you call with an issue, you are supposed to email all questions to her.  I emailed Kelly for the instructions.  She sent back an email a few days later saying "here they are" with nothing attached.  I had to email again and wait again to get her to send the attachment.  Then I realized that one of the tinctures for Epstein-Barr by Byron White I had tried 4 years before and nothing happened.  I emailed Kelly.  She emailed me back half a response from Mara saying try "this one" by Researched Nutritionals with no name attached.  I asked what she was talking about.  No reply for over a week.  Finally I emailed her again.  She said that "this one" referred to the Byron White's formula.  That was the one that I just wrote I'd already tried.  How stupid can you get?!?!?     So you have a total numbwit  assisting sham over-priced "doctors."  (Mara is not an M.D., just a nurse practitioner).    Save your money and buy herbs off the web and your health and pocketbook will be better.
