I was investigating hardscape and landscape options to improve the curb appeal and use of my mom's front driveway and walkway. I want to isolate a super resource in Steve Turner at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. Steve was the best representative of a hardscape company that I can imagine. He literally wrote the book on water and residential homes, so vexing problems we had been experiencing, were quickly identified within an integrated solution (downspouts to carry water further from foundation) as part of the landscape design. It was also refreshing to get total control over preferences while Steve explained the pros and cons of his beautifully rendered proposal. He could justify why the aesthetic and practical solutions worked based on color, sun exposure, my aged mom's needs, and our budget. Steve was a respectful partner in getting the best value out of the design as per our needs and limitations. I recommend you consider consulting with Steve Turner for your design needs.

Black Diamond offers an incredible service. I knew nothing about landscaping, only what I wanted in my backyard, and they patiently walked me through step by step from start to end. First my project manager Sahar came out to do an on site survey and drew up a design with my specific requests while incorporating the already existing trees/water supply. The plan document was clear and my HOA approved it without issues. The workers worked efficiently to complete my yard, and in the end taught me how to set the irrigation timer. I also want to mention that Sahar was really responsive to my emails/texts even on weekends. She was so kind to get me a new timer and a new hose even though it was not her responsibility. Overall, the whole process was very smooth and painless. I think the price was fair considering that the design was part of the package. I would use Black Diamond again!

We hired Black Diamond to re-landscape our front yard and back yard and we are very satisfied with the quality of the work. Our designer and project manager, Sahar, is amazing. We really liked her design and felt she dedicated lots of efforts to make sure it met our needs. She was also very organized and managed the project very well, with regular updates. When unexpected situation happened, she facilitated the collaboration across teams to provide best customer service. Highly recommend Black Diamond and Sahar!

We have a property in one of the more upscale and high-trafficked neighborhoods in San Francisco. This is a blessing and curse. Parking is always a struggle, the neighbors have very high expectations, and there are many space constraints. All of these challenges presented frustrations and setbacks that required patience and persistence. We also wanted to finish our landscape project quickly, so we turned to Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. We asked for their best designer and Steve Turner came out to assess the project. He recognized the biggest challenge was access to the backyard which was a challenge due to it's narrow limited space. We appreciate that Steve was supported by Alejandra Cabrera, who coordinated logistics from the headquarters. This project had many obstacles and the crews led by Ruben Ramerez and Jose Perez got it done as fast as they could (given all the moving parts). Jose made sure the demolition was efficient and Ruben took care of the installation of paver stones, steps, synthetic lawn, wall, stucco, lights, plants, and irrigation. Steve came every day to check, and that is the only way to make sure it is done right. A designer really needs to pay attention to the details. Our expectations were to have an elegant design that created more space. Steve was able to deliver that and more. This looks like a completely different environment now. It is striking, yet simple. The lighting is understated, but clearly defines the changes in levels. If exceptional design is important to you, then ask for Steve when you call Black Diamond. I highly recommend Steve as the designer and of course there are always issues that come up with any project but Steve keep us updated along the entire process as I was traveling and everything turned out exactly like the design and better!
