I've had this guy do quite a bit to my car, replace starter, new brakes, replace clutch, fix head lights, smog check, oil change, flat tire, etc. I own a Toyota, and he is a Toyota specialist. Great service, great work.

Before reading review, BEWARE OF SHOP/SHOP OWNER (Scam me out of THOUSANDS of dollars!!!).On February 21, 2023 at 11:25 AM I went to Envirotech Toyota Lexus scion specialists I spoke with the owner of the company and he is also a mechanic, John marin. I dropped off my car there and told him that my car has low compression and he said he knows what the problem is. He is Toyota specialist so I trusted him and I dropped off my car with him to fix . At first when I dropped it off he quoted me $4000 which he said give him cash so he don't have to pay tax and also I don't have to pay tax but he told me give him 4000 cash. I wasn't comfortable with that because I told him I have credit card and he said he wants cash only, he said the car will be finished in a week time and he called me and told me on 2/28/2023 that my car is ready to be picked up and ready to go . So when I arrived, and I started the car, the exhaust had very, very bad smoke. I asked him the car is smoking badly and he said while he was doing my work on the car the oil got dropped on my exhaust and that is the problem so he told me to take the car and drive it for 500 miles, and the oil will burn out itself and the car is fixed, so when I drove the car it was really really bad smokes and My  friend was recording while I was driving  back from shop and my car smoking really bad and when I was driving, the smoke was coming inside and I was coughing really bad so I had to stop the car and when I called him back and said the car is smoking really bad  his answer was just keep on driving . But I told him it's California law that you can't drive smoking car on the road and he kept on telling me that I should keep on driving. Keep driving keep driving so finally I had the car for four days. I took the car back and told him please fix my car. You took my money and the car is still smoking, his answer was I did all the work I did and that's all I can do. I don't know what else I can do it with this car. And he said he regrets doing my job . I asked him please fix my car and he refused to fix my car and he asked me to sit down with him so he can test drive with me .While I  test driving with him It was smoking really bad and he told me today which is 03/14/2023 to pick up my car tomorrow. He have someone else calling me and telling me that I need to pick up my car so I asked the gentleman who is he and he said that is his friend and also  his friend told me that they will be calling the San Mateo police department for standby so you can come pick up your car and my car is still smoking.
