Bob did such a great job on our doors! He replaced 6 interior hollow core doors with solid core doors for us and was a pleasure to work with from when he came to give us a quote on the work to when he finished the job. When we were shopping for someone to replace our doors, most of the companies we talked to seemed okay, but then we had our quote with Nickel Construction. Bob let us know that in order to install the solid core doors we wanted, it was better to add a 3rd hinge since the new doors would be so much heavier. No one else mentioned this to us, and I was so happy that he did. For a very minimal increase in the cost of supplies, Bob made sure that our doors and their fit would last for much longer. Before even booking him for the job, he helped us with tips on what kind of door to purchase, how to avoid getting cheaper quality doors and even looked over the model of door I had picked out online to make sure it would be able to be installed properly. We were able to save a little in cost with Nickel Construction versus the other companies as well because we took care of transporting the new doors to the house and getting rid of the old doors, so we didn't have to pay a disposal/transportation fee.All of our doors look amazing and I actually just scheduled another job with Nickel construction to build a pony wall in a bathroom we're remodeling. I will continue to call him for all of our carpentry needs!**UPDATE 4/3/15**Bob's customer service is so great! He came out to build our pony wall and couldn't start because the plumbing hadn't been trimmed back properly. He let me know exactly what needed to happen, I got a plumber a few hours later and Bob was able to come back to finish the job the same day! This kept me from having to reschedule the drywall installation we had planned for the next morning and kept my project on track. He truly cares about his customers and their projects and takes the time to educate his customers to help them get the best out of the projects, even after his portion is complete. Any future carpentry projects in our house will definitely be completed by Nickel Construction!

Robert was amazing. He did a beautiful job locating our doors and making certain they were exactly what we wanted. He replaced old doors and moulding making it look as if the new ones were original to the house. He was timely, did everything he said he would do, and offered a fair price. He is also very tidy; cleaning up before he had lunch and at the end of the day. Bob is a likable trustworthy, hardworking man. I highly recommend him! Having built two custom homes, I recognize a good contractor, and Bob is definitely top notch.
