Went and had my car in for a recall that was required by the state before I could get my registration. Got the work "done", received my car back making new noises which turned out to be the rear seat not bolted in correctly. So I have to go back and ask them to diagnose why it's making a vibration (unrelated) and they can't find what's wrong with it. Turns out the cv joints are worn and needed to be replaced. I don't trust them for any work anymore so I replaced them myself. I guess that's the reason why they're called technicians and not mechanics anymore. If you need things done and you have a choice, go south. This dealership disappoints.

If I could give them -5 Stars I would. On November 30, 2023 our 2017 Toyota Tundra 1794 was towed into this service center for a simple PCU replacement and programming. The head tech overseeing our vehicle was unprofessional and difficult to work with. Our vehicle sat there because of time issues. We eventually got management involved. After 99 daysyes, 99 days we finally have it back. It no longer misfires but our truck is damaged in a different way. After getting home my husband realized the headlights (and God knows what else) wasnt working. After lifting the hood we came to realize they damaged our Deep Cell battery and when replacing it with their stock battery they just cut the wires that were attached to the Deep Cell. Literally a nest of wires!!! To say were irate is an understatement! Weve contacted BAR in regards to the original issues with this service center and now weve contacted our representative regarding the damage done to our personal property. I plan on contacting my attorney.

Experienced a big change since my last visit in June 2023... The customer service changed from five star service to just awful. Very disappointing. They were dependable, transparent, communicators; but not any more. Now, they don't tell you if someone made a mistake during service (never mind your safety). They charge full price for a job they know was not well done and don't send out a service follow-up message (used to be default); then don't answer the phone or returning phone calls or make any effort what-so-ever to remedy the situation. Just awful. Very disappointing.

I have been utilizing SLO Toyota Service Dept. for approximately three years following my purchase of a new car. Until recently I've been satisfied with their work. On September 5th, 2023 my wife's Lexus received an EFI service along with other routine items. Upon completion the service tech informed me of damage to the air assembly housing, (With picture). I stated that this damage was not present prior to the service appointment. He replied the mechanic brought it to his attention stating it was damaged prior to service appointment. I replied that's impossible, Toyota is the only individuals who have worked on this car. I talked to the service manager and he stated it was most likely rodents. He also stated he would me me halfway on cost to repair. I forwarded a picture of the engine compartment prior to the service to establish a timeline. The damage was done during the EFI service while separating the housing from the air induction port area. It's fractured not chewed! I have maintained records on this car along with photos for many years. I've called on 9/15 and again on 10/3, leaving messages with service department and no response as of this date. The $421 part remains damaged. At this point I need to seek an alternative Toyota Service for the area. This is not my expectation of good customer service. Next stop...BBB and state of California to register the complaint. UPDATE:Response from Nicole M. Business Owner "Hi Mark! I do apologize Andrew did not get back to you promptly, I spoke with our Service Manager who will be addressing this with Andrew. We are not a Lexus certified repair facility so certain repairs must be done at a Lexus Dealership. I apologize for the miscommunication and thank you for the feedback." 10/24/23 Still no response from service department, based on business owner statement I should not have the Lexus serviced at a Toyota Dealership.
