Fairmont Schools - San Juan Capistrano

We just enrolled our youngest into Fairmont SJC and the Athletic Academy. He starts in a few weeks, but everyone on the staff, the teachers, and the students that we've met so far have been fantastic. Betty and Anderson in SJC have been brilliant helping us through the assessment and admissions process, and based on that experience we're confident that we've found the best community possible for our son's education.

I was excited when I found out a Fairmont school was finally  open in South County! I immediately transferred the kids from their old school to Fairmont SJC. The Head of School  and staff has been very personable and welcoming since day one. During  the pandemic -the school remained open and when it was necessary to do online classes the transition was quick. I like having the kids learn one grade level ahead as well as receiving a letter grade for their progress.

My son is a freshman and loves it here. The teachers are friendly and caring. The children have great hearts!! We love the small School and smaller class sizes. We especially love Coach Tom Lewis and the Basketball program.

After comparing a few local private schools we applied for Fairmont and luckily admitted. Two girls are in their summer school/camp and they love it! The summer school is combination of academic and fun. We chose Fairmont because:1. The new campus is really nice! New and big classrooms, Airconditioned in door gym for hot summer days, fun play ground for pre school/K kids, very well organized grade classroom arrangements.2. STEM class system which will help kids strengthen academic background which is crucial for college application these days.3. Very nice and kind stuff members and teachers. 4. Very helpful and professional administration. We had to go out of country for a few weeks and they helped to change our interview dates.5. Super security! During school hours the school gate is fully locked, no bad guy can get in! During pick-up time, two private security firm personnels stand at the front to assist and protect. They are kind too. Compared to when my older son went to public schools in OC, no campus gate/wall, school pick-up time is 'wild'.6. This campus has from pre school to high school, so our three young kids can be in the same school all the way to high school! 7. Kids love the pool day and movie time

Our experience at Fairmont has been exceptional. The teachers, staff, and administration are truly invested in my child's education and her growth as a young learner. Small class sizes and leveled learning have enabled my child to gain confidence in her learning abilities. Though it is a small and newer school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, giving our kindergartener more confidence when asking questions, engage in group activities, and opportunities for one-on-one time with the teachers. She absolutely LOVES Fairmont!The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make a successful educational experience for the students and parents. Fairmont is committed to the whole child. They teach value lessons, character building, communication and leadership skills. We've seen tremendous growth in from beginning of the school year to end.The teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within your child - their good behaviors and achievements; and they know the importance of getting the parents involved should an issue arise, and do it in a very respectful, approachable manner.Great team - great school!
