I am not a user of this service but I've got to say when I see Dan on tv waving his arms around and then doing his air accordion impression I don't feel much like investing my money with them. I'm just opining.

This is in response to the review from Marry S.  Thank you Marry for your review. We were in need of a financial advisor. Although we have 401k, etc. we are at that age and looking for advice when this came in the mail.  Reading your review helped us make our decision and tear up the flyer. Much appreciated.  As I am a big Yelper!

We received an unsolicited offer in the mail to attend a financial lecture with dinner at Ruth's Chris in Irvine. As requested, we RSVP'd by phone, at which time a large amount of personal information was elicited from us.When we arrived at the restaurant, dressed up and on a rainy night, we were told by the woman checking people in that we had been essentially disinvited, as we had attended a similar event years in the past. She then lied to our faces and told us that we had been sent an email about this situation; this was demonstrably false, and we all knew it. In the meantime, Dan, the Financial Advisor, was standing about two feet from us listening, but not making eye contact or offering any input. Our time is valuable to us, and we don't appreciate having it wasted by withdrawing an invitation at the last possible moment after we were already at the restaurant. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised, as this behavior has happened before, as stated in a previous review below, dated 5/13/14. After being treated in such a dishonest manner, we would have no reason to trust this company with any of our business.

We have invested with Dan Ohlwiler for 10 Years.  He is honest and knowledgeable about all finances and is always accommodating for inquiries.  His business is family run, personable and very caring.  He sponsors events every few months (i.e. baseball games, movies catered Holiday dinners) giving us an opportunity to meet other clients and have some fun.  We highly recommend Sterling Financial Advisors investments.
