Mona Niko Gallery

I'm about to retire from a long and successful career, so I  was so excited to come across Mona Niko Gallery and the art classes Mona offered. At $490 for 5 classes,  with her personally promising to teach you different mediums and helping a novice like myself, to learn some basics, I was so excited!! However,  that dream was quickly shattered.   My first day of class I was bearly spoken to. The whole time she spoke in farsi (persian), and hardly addressed me. I don't speak the language and many of the other students were kind enough to point out the issue.  But she made no efforts to change her ways. As the time progressed, Mona offered minimal guidance.  She canceled 1 class and then I had to cancel 1 myself,  due to holiday travel with my family.  She was quick to let me know 1 class would be subtracted from my contract,  even though this was never discussed prior or noted upon signing up. When I spoke to other students, they had never hear of such policy.  Needless to say, my poorly guided and in a foreign language, project could not be completed.  I was asked to pay another couple hundred dollars to have a completed painting.  Furthermore, I could had taken a sip in wine for less than $100 and received 100% better guidance and a completed project.  This class cost me over $500 due to having to buy supplies, which were supposed to be included, along with all the failed promises and a uncomplete painting.  Lesson learned, if you are not persian and do not speak farsi, don't bother, because you will get a lesson on being outcasted very quickly, but there well be no issues in collecting your money. Sadly disappointing!!!

Mona Niko is an excellent art teacher! She had me using different media to create art that looked like Id been doing it a while instead of being a green beginner. She offers a welcoming, friendly atmosphere in addition to her instruction. A very pleasant experience!

What she does is printing on the canvas and covering some parts or all with paints! She is not sketching, drawing and painting like a real artist does , she prints and put paints over it! If you like to buy her stuff for investment, you should take a professional one with yourself, unless you wanna buy a piece regardless of it's true value. Also if you want to order something to be painted for you, ask her to document the whole process from sketching on a white canvas,.... to painting! If you visit the pages of real artists, you would see how they work! Unfortunately, I have seen con artists like her back in Iran a lot and it's very sad! Some of them are very famous and run huge art organizations for the government so no one dares  to expose their lies, they have money and power!

She's definitely an artist- a SCAM artist.  Avoid at all costs!

I go to mona classes for the art. It's amazing. I learned a lot of techniques and classes are fun.
