GN Event Rental (Best Prices / Quality Service)

Took them 4 days to write an email that literally just said "Sorry, not available." Terrible response time.

Contacted this company through their website about a week before our very small event in San Jose at 5pm on 8/12. They emailed back instructions that I should come to their office on the only day they are open, Sunday between 10-5. I called them and explained I live out of the area and could not come down to the office. I asked if I could reserve the items and pick them up on the day of the event, between 1 & 3pm. 'No problem' they said, just call when we are on our way down and they would have someone meet us at the warehouse because they have someone available any day/time for pickup. The night before event, I sent a message we would be down on Saturday around 2:30pm. I texted again Saturday morning to confirm the time. I got a text back that said "Come after 6:00pm". I reminded that our event started at 5:00 and needed to pick up before 3:00pm. They instructed to call another one of their people who may be available till 1:00pm. I did so and that person said he could only be there between 11 & 12. Had they been honest with me on our first phone call the week before, we probably could have made the time work, but definitely could not on the DAY OF the event. We had to call another rental company last minute to obtain the items needed, luckily they had them available. Not very trustworthy. Would not recommend.

For folks looking to rent here, "Please make sure to triple confirm pickup/return timelines". I was made to pay double (plus ~5.7% card fee) of what was communicated over phone. I wanted some stuff for my event on one of the Sundays. I called and told them that my event finishes Sunday 5pm and asked them when I should pickup. They told me that they operate only on Sundays, I can pickup one week before and return next week after the event. My friends helped me pickup and everything was fine. On the day of the event, at 4.30PM he calls and tells me that I should return before 6PM that day. I told him that event just finished, everyone is super tired and I can't return it. I tried reasoning that I was told that I can return next week, then he became rude and said he can't allow 2 weeks (it was listed on invoice, etc etc) and asked me to return next morning 9AM-11AM window. I told him its very short notice and its working day, I will not be able to do that. He said he doesn't care and I should return it and hung up. The next morning considering work day, I couldn't make it. He called that afternoon and repeated all the stuff he said previous day. At this point, I told him that I don't want to deal with his rudeness over phone and if needed I'll pay for extra week. The unfortunate part is that he called me next day and repeated same stuff. Quality is fine for a rental. I thought of supporting Indian business and went with them. If I had to do it again, I would just go with professionals.

Good options, great prices, and honest customer service. What more could you want from your wedding vendors, especially during a stressful planning process. GN Rentals were very flexible in working with us to make our special day as seemless as possible, given the heavy rainfall we battled up until the day before our wedding. The Maharaja Printed tent used for the Anand Karan was gorgeous and our guests raved about how beautiful it made the entire ceremony look. Thank you for your contribution to making it such a memorable week for us and our families.
