Please DO NOT USE HIS service to install NEW UNIT!! He might be good for a quick fix if your unit is not working. This review is long overdue. We found john in June 2023 through our tenant and were indeed impressed with the glowing reviews online. Little did we know that most of these reviews are for a "quick fix" and because of his availability 24/7. We hired him to replace our existing air conditioner which according to him needed replacement.
It took him about 10 days to get the new air conditioner to work because he had to work with my tenant's schedule. He gave my tenant a go ahead to start using it and the very next morning I received a call from my tenant about the ceiling leaking water through out the house. I reached out to John who sent his brother to dry out the house with many machines running and dry walls cut to vent out the air. They tore apart rugs to help with the drying process.
He promised my tenants a stay at the hotel while the house was drying up which he never did.
Yes accidents can happen but my issue was he completely refused to accept responsibility for this and blamed it on the poor workmanship of the house and the tenant rushing him. The way he responded to our requests to get the house repaired was completely unprofessional and like a 13 year old kid.
At first John promised that he would have his dad do the necessary repairs but his dad never called us to schedule any repairs. He stopped responding and blocked us once we threatened him with taking a legal course. I ended up paying everything out of pocket and the repairs cost me almost what I paid for the air conditioner. I had my home owner's insurance follow up with him and he finally accepted his fault and said it happened because he was rushed. Mind you that he takes calls 24/7 and tries to swallow more he can chew. He was apparently busy with his own work schedule and tried to rush things on his own.
It does not end here. He has refused to send us any warranty information for the air conditioner either in spite of several requests

Our company's AC wasn't working great for years and we finally had enough. I contacted Silicon Valley Comfort and they responded immediately. First and foremost, John worked with me over the phone to try and diagnose the issue and resolve without the the need for service. Clearly, he knows what he's doing.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to resolve the issue remotely but he was at my office that night to take care of us. He worked through the night and into the morning to get us back up and running before the heatwave stuck again.

Had the parents AC break down on the first hot day of the year. Spoke to John and he said he could accommodate last minute and come by as his last appointment. He let us know that would be late in the evening since he was jammed with appointments. We were just happy he was going to visit at all.
John expertly looked at all of the AC components and was able to fix the problem within an hour or so. He was very professional and great to work with. He exudes a high-level expertise and was educating me along the way.
I highly recommend John for your family and friends AC maintenance needs especially in a pinch.
