We are representing buyers out of our area in Pacifica. We called HomeGuard from advertising and past experience. They put us on a waitlist and got us in the very next day, all 3 inspections. We had roof, home and pest. All 3 inspectors were professional, on time and responsive with their reports. Thank You, Liz Venema-Owner Venema Homes Keller Williams

Disclaimer: I was not a customer, but I was a recipient of their inspection report in the disclosure of the home I bought. There was very obvious termite frass in the window sill, but they called it wood rot. If the inspectors had done a more thorough job of just pressing on the window sill, they would have discovered how disintegrated it was. And there was tons of termite frass in the sill, I don't know how they missed it. Because it was not in the disclosures, and had two termite companies verify I had termites, I now have to figure out arrangements for home fumigation, and you know how painful it could be while already living in the home. Also, they didn't test if the whole house attic fan was operational. When I toured the home, the fan worked. When I moved in, the fan no longer worked. For some reason, they stated that they did not test the attic fan... it is so simple, they could have just pressed on the switch in the hallway. Now, because it was not inside the disclosure that this was working before, the HVAC company said that it would not be covered under my home warranty. These were pretty big items they missed in inspection that I am unhappy with.

This is about the Termite inspection. We have asked Miguel, the inspector, multiple times if there was any water damage, dry rot, etc. He did a rush job and insisted that there was no concern at all. However, the home inspector came back with water damage at multiple places and recommended the pest control company. How come a termite inspector could not see water damage/dry rot but a general home inspector did? I think we have wasted our time and money for the termite inspection. He did not do his job.

It seems by bad review doesn't apply here to Homeguard Inc as I was reviewing Homeguard Home warranty. However, they share the same logo, I suspect this is the same company providing different services. Please use your best judgement...

The Accounting department is extremely rude and not helpful at all. You would think the supervisor would be more helpful but and more trained to help assist any questions a customer would have but unfortunately they were extremely rude as well. I recently found out that I over paid for a bill because they charge you up from for a delayed payment accommodation fee and it was never returned to me. I admit I called them 2 months later to follow up with this but the way they handled the situation was just not professional. Update: Thank you Jessica for reaching out to me . I appreciate that you took the time to look into the situation and not only helped me with my problem by getting the extra amount I paid refunded but also conveyed my experience with the accounting department so that they improve their customer service for future customers.
