Just a terrible company to work with. They charge premium prices but offer basically no support. We're moving on from them. My decision to hire them was a really bad choice. Good luck getting these guys to actually solve any problems.

I had a problem with a server. I called Progent thinking that they would be able to assist. Knowing that they have a high hourly rate, I tried to keep the tech (Mr. Zilic) on task as much as possible. After two hours, I asked him to stop, as it was completely evident that he was guessing and had no idea how to resolve the issue. He said that he was almost done, so we kept going. Another hour and he was still not closer, but said he was almost done. After 4 hours, I firmly told him to stop. He told me that I would have to call Microsoft to fix the problem. I asked him about the bill, he said that the billing dept would reduce it for me. I spoke to them 3 times and they kept apologizing, but would not reduce the bill. I had to pay Microsoft $500 to fix the issue after spending $500 with Progent. This company is a complete rip off.

We have a large Networking infrastructure and needed some quick help. Got a quote from a Sales Representative about setting up a simple Firewall. The Quote was reasonable 2 days of work, one Person. The Work took more than 2 weeks, and was 600% over budget. They charged us for hours where they were not working and involved 3 more people that was necessary. One of the consultant was absolutely incompetent and just there to bill hours. Without asking us permission to go beyond the estimated quote. We lost a few critical clients because of this. I was obviously not very happy about this and I traded emails back and forth. Going through the invoices and demonstrated them that they were overcharging us. One of their network engineers then said the number of hours could be reduced to three times what was originally quoted. The sales guy was yelling at us and telling us that we did not understand the business. What really ticked me off is that he called me and said that I was naïve, technically incompetent, and questioned how I ran my business and literally insulted us. I'm not sure who he thinks he is but this was totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. Unless you have not other options I would stay away from Progent at all cost.

Have used Progent for 8 years. When we have Cisco issues these guys are called and some of the cisco techs will respond within minutes. Yes they are not cheap but all IT is not cheap and at least they round to the minute. They have been a true life saver. If people are worried abour cost remember you're on the clock so let the worker do his or her work and get things prepared so they dont need to waste time trying to figure out things which should be documented in advance
