Not the worst place you can live for the price, but Im also not having a great time. Their maintenance is below average in comparison to all the other complexes Ive lived in. Had me freezing one of the coldest Cali weekends Ive experienced in my life -just for them to do absolutely nothing. Update - They did apologize on behalf of maintenance which I appreciate. They even offered to come look at the heater personally. I found out later they had space heaters, which wasnt communicated when the heater was reported broken - would have been a nice to know. But overall appreciate the extra effort in resolution.

Ive been a tenant here for over 2 years. A more detailed review is forthcoming, But I wanted to post one regarding the parking lot to get started: The parking here is aweful. You are allocated one car per unit, however by 9pm the entire lot is filled and its difficult to find parking. Most of the cars parked have no parking permit. The management tries to enforce parking rules once in a blue moon, but last I saw any enforcement action was over 15 months ago. Some very unhonorable people reside here as well. I have a Merc-Benz and Ive had rude awakenings where I walk to my car in the AM only to discover damage from someone dishonest who hit it over night trying to either squeeze into or out of one of the tighly-spaced parking lots. Apparently, the management has no cameras setup in the parking lot so they offer no help. To give you an idea, ive lived here for 2 years and my car has been hit twice in the back with each time the insurance deductible coming out to $500 each. Ofcourse some residents lack the integrity or grit to leave a note Keep in mind to count the added insurance deductibles as a regular expense apart from the rent and utilities.

UPDATE - Jan 2023 The roughest neighbors were all moved out forcibly or moved out on their own. My wife and I can still hear new neighbors just as they can likely hear us, but it's not bad when everyone is respectable. I generally don't update reviews, but I'm fully aware of the work the Sojo team does to make the living space better and I know this is a rare treatment in the rental-housing market. This living space really has some beautiful and content things about it. If the price makes sense for you, I'd say this can be a great place to live (not counting bad neighbors which you may have anywhere). Happy to talk about the things my wife and I are still not happy with as a fair warning; _______________________ - only 400 sq ft - not cheap - apartments are quite old and can only be maintenance so much - coin-op shared laundry - thin walls / ceilings - occasional stray animals or people experiencing homelessness - occasional random fireworks from the street / neighbors around the apts Things that are very worth living here for; _______________________ - there is security to call (even if they're not great they do come) - management does hear and manage issues / complaints if you're reasonable - the maintenance people are really kind, skilled, and helpful - the internet speeds are good - there is usually parking available close to each area and rarely (though sometimes) are there too many extra guest cars - as mentioned below and in the photos, I love to walk around this area and do so every week! ORIGINAL - Summer 2022 The planned foliage and trees are beautiful. There's a nearby park that I walk to every day. The apartment manager, Jillian, and apartment maintenance Ruben are very kind and responsive. The issue here is Neighbors. After almost 2 years I've had enough. And I don't just mean neighbors in sunny ct, but they will be what turns you away from this place. for $1400 + $150 in utilities, I'd expect the quality of clients to be somewhat respectable, but it turns out it's a gamble. You might get neighbors who are relatively respectful, but if your experience is like ours, you'll get an array of awful, inconsiderate, rude neighbors. We've had - late night and early morning neighbors banging on doors (maybe dealing drugs) - all times of the day shouting at dogs and mumbling so loud you can hear it through the wall - dogs barking all hours (expected) - roosters in the morning - extremely loud cars (both the cars and the music) - loud "techno-zonked" music all day long (for people who are high) - people dropping weights at 3am above us - (newest) is loud footsteps and intimate squeaky furniture will keep you up until 1am, followed by some loud laughing, socializing and stomping. I even spoke to them politely and asked if 11:30pm could keep it down. They politely said sure! But the next 3 nights since have had ZERO respect for quiet hours and every day of the week since they moved in. It's not just annoying, it's intolerable and feels like our heads are going to explode from the loud steps and banging. Quiet hours are not respected or enforced without consistent emails to staff. There's a lot more I could say, (like the street businesses, parking issues, homelessness, apartment quality, and more) but most of it is bearable except the neighbors. So I just want to warn you that people move in and out of here a lot and if you wanted a place to stay a while like us, you may end up getting some horrible neighbors. Either way, goodluck.

Update: The management decided to take action and help the upstairs neighbor relocate to a more suitable apartment. Our new upstairs neighbor is a lot more considerate with their present though the flooring quality is still bad so not all the noises are canceled out. Good thing is now people respect quiet hour more so everyone can have a healthy sleep. Note: if you consider moving here, pick the apartment that received sunlight since the area has flies issue. Old review: It has been 1 year since we lived here and the price does come with *sleep deprivation*. The apartment itself is very outdated and may have some minor issues here and there but its the neighbors that absolutely the main reason we are fighting very hard to get out. We have been enduring lots of midnight loud parties in the parking lot and random yelling at night, but after some complaints notice they toned it down a lot. But that just a sweet start ever since the new upstairs neighbors moved in, we never had a normal sleep. Every single night there are some sort of slamming, partying or commotions happening. It would get nice and peaceful until midnight or 3am and that would go on for hours until everyone is awake from their sleeps with headaches. I am normally a heavy sleeper and I can sleep through pretty much any noise but even for me this is torture. The apartment management refuse to take any action and the security line is just a automatic voice. We tried to talk to them and despite them apologizing and promised to be more considerate, the torture did not stopped, it got worse everyday. If you need a good sleep after working a long tiring job, this might not be the best place. Bonus: if you like heavy base loud music it would also be perform everyday from 4am to 7am.
