HR Towing was sent by AAA road service. Truck arrived in 15 minutes. The driver was able load my car on the flatbed truck very quickly even though it was in a difficult location. The driver was very professional.

Crooked Scamming Cons. Owner tried to charge us for $1700 when our total should have been $800. Used AAA for a tow to my own location. Then told upon his arrival my only option was to have it taken to his lot and that I could not call him or remove the car until Tuesday (two full holiday days). Gave us a price of $90 per day. When we came to remove the car with the company were selling it to: Owner says she has no record of our insurance covering the tow and tries to scam us out of another $700. Then says the full days where we couldnt call or access the lot are still counted and that we could have done that and her driver is never supposed to tell us this information. Well He Did anyways! Oh, And: They killed my battery before the buyer came which decreased the value of my sale by 35%. Messed up.

My husband and I have AAA. We broke down on 101 on the bridge northbound a little less than a mile from the Vermont exit. AAA said that they had contacted HR towing and that they should be arriving but to call them to fine tune the details. When they were informed that we needed to be towed to Fairfield they gawked a bit but said they were on their way. After they hung up and about 20 minutes later my husband tried calling them back to get an ETA since it was bumper to bumper traffic. They didn't pick up then. He tried again. Still no answer. I called and they picked up straight away. When I told them who we were and where we needed to go the woman said that she knew and needed to call the driver. Then a very nice tow truck showed up and offered to get us out of traffic for free. I tried calling the woman back and now they weren't picking up my phone calls. It didn't even occur to me that they might be avoiding us because of how far away we needed to go. So then my husband *67'd them and they picked up again. He asked if they had any intention of picking us up and they said no, they sent us back to AAA. It is beyond unprofessional that they were ignoring both our numbers once they knew what they were. That is beyond no communication: it is the active decision to avoid us to tell us what's going on. Beware!!!
