I recently decided it was time to sell my parents home after years of procrastinating. I was more than a little intimidated about how to proceed and finally turned to a friend with a good business sense. He highly recommended Marcus Miller of Helm Real Estate who had recently sold his family home. I got in touch with Marcus and after our meeting, I felt I would be in good hands with him as my agent. I chose to use my own contractor who is a trusted long-time friend and a stager he worked with. My family home was built in 1961 and was in need of repairs and updating to prepare it for sale. I looked to Marcus to lead the project. He worked seamlessly with the contractor and stager and fostered a feeling of mutual respect. He had the big picture, knew what had to be done when, and kept the project moving. He always kept me informed of where we were in the process and guided me though decision points. Once the house was ready for sale, he created a ton of interest using the considerable resources of Helm Real Estate to market and show the home. It sold within one week at well above the asking price! After a shorter than usual escrow period we closed about three months after our initial meeting. We are so thankful for having Marcus as our realtor, especially since my partner was out-of-state for most of the process while I visited the houses in person. Marcus was incredibly flexible in accommodating our needs like late phone calls, virtual calls, etc. as a result of this complicated situation. Marcus also welcomed my whole family throughout this process and worked hard to address their concerns as well. In fact, something that my family and I appreciated was how Marcus treated our concerns respectfully. He never gave the impression that something was too insignificant to talk about. He was incredibly patient with us, which as new homeowners we appreciated. We highly recommend Marcus for an aspiring homeowner. Marcus is a fantastic real estate agent. My wife and I were searching for our home for over eight months. It was a tough market with low inventory, but as we worked together, Marcus got to know us and what we wanted in a home: a yard, architectural details, character, and a garage. Marcus is experienced and knowledgeable when it came to homes, offering guidance for the build quality, condition of the foundation, and many other items to look for when purchasing a home in San Francisco. He is also well connected and respected within the San Francisco market, since he has worked with many other agents within the area. Many times, other agents let us know we were in good hands. Marcus is professional, kind, and communicative. He helped us find our home and guided us through the process to close it out. I definitely recommend him if you need an agent in San Francisco.

Marcus and his partner Justin are THE team to go to to make the grueling home-buying process SO much easier, even under fairly strained circumstances. They are great resources for 1) EFFICIENCY and SPEED. My partner and I stumbled upon our dream home 20 hours before offers were due. At that point, we had only been working with Marcus and Justin for two days, and had no pre-approvals nor even a specific lender in mind. Despite that, Justin put an offer together with lightning speed so we wouldnt miss our chance at this beautiful place. Marcus became our go-to once our offer was accepted, and he was ready to answer any of my bizarre questions at any time while still doing all the paperwork and advocacy on our behalf. He was incredibly responsive trust me, when youre in the thick of it, this will be the #1 quality you want in your agent! and streamlined all the communications between us, the sellers agent, and the escrow company. He made the process so easy mentally and emotionally that it almost felt automated; all we had to do was press the Marcus button and voila! everything we needed to know or communicate was done. 2) EDUCATION. I hadnt done much research before we went into the process, but I didnt feel that knowledge gap at all with Marcus and Justin walking us through everything thoroughly so we knew exactly what we were signing and could make strategic decisions when submitting our offer on our dream place. Marcus also helped us find the right water & garbage providers, which honestly made life so much easier when we were too overwhelmed to figure it out ourselves. 3) STRONG CONNECTIONS in the community. One of the major reasons we were able to snag the place we loved despite being $25-40k behind the top offer was thanks to Justins open conversations with the sellers agent and their combined advocacy on our behalf. Justin also introduced us to our home loan agent, who wound up doing more for me in literally 2 days than my home bank had done for me in 20 years. We could not thank these two enough. In less than a month, they took us from sort of interested in the market to homeowners (in the Bay Area, of all places, something we didnt think was financially feasible for us). Marcus and Justin made the process so fast and pain-free and were true to their word when they said theyd help put us not in a home, but THE home thats right for us.
