Hi Steven, We are so frustrated that you left the negative reviews such a short message here with taking out the story behind. It seems like your intention is to confuse the audience, instead of telling the truth. Back to the reality, you and us, on behalf of the owner, had a long and effective conversation through email with all parties involved. We never refuse to make needed/safety repairs and always engage in cooperation and negotiation. The mutual agreement eventually came up in which we thought that you don't have hesitation and the deposit check was sent out to you the next day. As a property manager, we succeeded in convincing the owner to go with your proposal by paying more than the cost provided by our contractor. image My wife and I are tenants and have always found the staff at Consolidated to be very responsive and helpful. I suspect that some complaints have more to do with instructions they have received from landlords than their own lack of professionalism.

image Beware of this property company. During the move-out walkthrough, she tried to charge me for repainting under a "California Law" since I had lived in the apt for under 4 years (I lived there for 3yrs). I consulted with the SF Rent Board afterwards, and they said there is no such law. The tenant only pays if there are damages, and I had only normal wear and tear. So she pretty much made that up in order to get part of my security deposit.

Hi Annie, We are sorry to hear that you got a negative experience from us. In order to avoid charging you 50% of repainting cost, the wall was fixed in our way and waived the repainting cost within 2 days after move out inspection even though we believed that those are the damages, not normal wear and tear. In other words, our team is always nice to others including you. Per our record, you left the apartment dirty, our team did let you access the apartment again for cleaning up in order to avoid charging you the cleaning cost. Also when you said you didn't receive the deposit check, we took immediate action and sent you another check the next day. Finally, you found that your mail was held up by the post office due to your personal reasons. We are highly encouraging you to capture the full picture in your reviews too.
