Blueside Preschool

Our child loves Blueside! He joined the program in August and has been thriving since. Rosa has been absolutely wonderful supporting his adaptation and development, sending us regular updates and photos of their adventures. Speaking of adventures, they get a lot of outdoor time, visiting the nearby playground, park, and museum. They work on adorable art projects, which our child will proudly bring home. We highly recommend this gem of a preschool.

We couldn't be happier with Blueside Preschool and the creativity, care, and attentiveness that Rosa pours into this terrific place. We were anxious about our son leaving home and being the youngest student, but he quickly transformed into a confident and curious toddler under Rosa's guidance. Activities are predicated on discovery, learning, and the outdoors, with photos and updates provided throughout the day. Everything you could hope for and more.

My son had a wonderful first year of preschool at Blueside. The small class size (6 children max) was perfect for attentive care and for forming his first friendships. I was nervous about the transition, as he was just under 2 years when he started, though he never complained or cried about going to school, even on the first day! They spend a lot of time outdoors at the wonderful local playgrounds and museums. Rosa is a very kind caregiver, and I've seen how much independence he's gained over the course of the school year. He now comprehends and speaks Spanish, due to her bilingual program. It's a safe and loving environment for toddlers ~2-4 yrs old. We planned to keep him enrolled, though ended up moving. We'll miss Blueside and Rosa!

Our daughter attended Blueside Preschool from the age of 2 to 3.5 years old. From our initial visit to her last day, she loved her time at Blueside. Rosa has created a loving and nurturing environment for the kids with lots of time singing, dancing, and outdoors for exploration and playtime. Highly recommend!

Blueside Preschool has been the perfect place for our child to cultivate her creativity and gradual independence. Rosa is nurturing and encouraging with the small group of kids and very communicative and approachable for us parents. The kids get ample outdoor time and exploration, healthy snacks, and valuable nap/quiet time. And we love that our child is able to gain academic skills as well as sustain and develop her Spanish through songs, stories, art, and play that are very child-centered. The Blueside Preschool has been the perfect place for our daughter to nurture her creativity and gradual independence. Rosa is affectionate and encouraging with the kids in the group and very approachable and communicative with the parents. The kids enjoy quite a bit of time outdoors exploring in the nearby parks, healthy snacks and valuable time to nap or reflect. We love that our daughter can prepare academically and continue to develop her Spanish through child-centered songs, stories, art and games. Update 08/2023: Our daughter graduated from Blueside in July and we miss it already. She is more than kindergarten-ready, knows her letters and numbers in both English and Spanish, and has robust interpersonal skills from all the learning-through-play and social emotional supports that Rosa facilitated for the children. We are eternally grateful for all the curiosity, creativity, and kindness that Rosa nurtured in our daughter and her peers, and recommend Blueside without hesitation.
