GetzWell Personalized Pediatrics

I'm sad to be back updating my review, both because I hate leaving negative reviews and because I have better things to do with my time. But nothing is more important than our children's well-being, so here I am. During our toddler's first two years with Getzwell, they missed a major medical diagnosis. I understand it happens, and that's not why I've downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 2 stars. When I notified them of this development, they did not respond, total radio silence. It's been a month. Yes, we're no longer members, so they have no responsiblity to stay in touch. But this lack of response means a) their patients' well-being matters only as long as you're paying them money or b) they're afraid to respond due to risk of litigation. I think both explanations are really sad for a group boasting concierge medicine, especially as we were with them for two years. As a medical professional, I know first-hand the pain of making a mistake. But I always want to know what went wrong, how my (prior) patient is doing, and how I can do better by future patients. Apparently, this isn't a philosophy shared by Getzwell. Everything I wrote previously still holds true. Take a look if you're still interested in what they can do right. Just be prepared for disappointment if they do something wrong. --- Rachel has been our toddler's primary care provider since birth, and we absolutely love her. She provides an amazing combination of knowledgeable, compassionate and empowering care. She clearly knows what she's doing and, of course, performs thorough examinations. She's extremely skilled at communicating what will happen at each appointment, her findings, expectations and next steps. We had a challenging first 6 months with our little one that involved concerns around weight gain, growth, feeding, and digestive discomfort -- i.e. basic survival -- and Rachel was the perfect medical ally. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat, especially to first-time parents who would appreciate that extra touch of kindness and concern. We never feel rushed in our appointments, and she genuinely cares how we're doing as a family beyond the requisite pediatrics. She makes an effort to connect with us parents every time. We've had a couple appointments with Dr. Glynn, who I would characterize as 'nice enough', but Rachel's a pretty hard act to follow. Dr. Getzelman is not taking new patients, so you probably won't see her if your family is new to the practice. The service is definitely expensive; we happen to be blessed with amazing health insurance. We take regular advantage of their home visits, which have been a boon to our sanity. The office is pleasant, but it'll always feel cold and sterile compared to the comforts of home, especially to our cautious youngster. We're also extremely COVID cautious, so the home visits have felt safer in that regard, too. If their services are within your budget, it's definitely worth considering; you'll receive kind and competent medical care for your extra money spent.

Im so grateful for Getzwell Pediatrics. My 9-year-old son dealt with stomach pain, hyper allergic reactions, and a hospital stay after the flu, all in one year! We successfully treated his mold and yeast growth under their care and my child is thriving now. Julia Getzelman and her team is truly one of a kind in their comprehensive, skilled, and gentle care.

Getzwell are the best pediatrics I ever had. Their service is very personal and holistic and they deeply care about your child. They are always on call and can give you appointments as soon as you need it, communication via email or message is also very convenient. I can always trust them with my childs healthcare. Love them.

We love Getzwell and have been taking both our 8 year old and 5 year old there since birth. They take their time with each patient and the staff is wonderful. So happy to be part of their community!
