They are way better than Mission Culture Center or the Richmond Beacon Center. Sometimes SNBC is a community center, but most of the time, it is an after school program organization. All the services are free and they have something for everyone from 6 months to 65. We met Ryan at the clubhouse at 39th and Ortega from Rec Connect, then we found out Megan Agee ( SNBC director) is his supervisor, not Park & Rec. So we thought SNBC is a community center, but as we explored more on the business core, SNBC really is an after school program organization which is funded by DCYF and other organizations from public and private business. We have used services at Rec Connect with Ryan from summer camp to night classes. He is a very youth friendly person like every time when you see him, he is surrounded by 3 or more youths. The children choose to hang out with him and the funny thing is, even 3 year old toddlers like Ryan. For example, a mother was looking for her son which also name Ryan. She goes, "Where is my son?" Another mother replied, "First look up, when you spot a 6 feet tall Ryan, then you look 4 feet down, you'll find your 36 inch Ryan." [Funny!] The clubhouse is a fun place to be at, but the main office at 46th Ave is much more politic and serious.
