Motel 6 San Francisco, CA

This is a diamond in the ruff. A precious gem in an otherwise questionable downtown San Francisco neighborhood. Youre likely to see open-air drug use and sales on the surrounding streets, but none of that inside the hotel. Rooms: Large, clean rooms with satellite TV and full bathrooms. Rooms do not have microwaves or hot water kettles. However, the hotel offers free coffee and tea every morning between 7:00 and 10:00 in the lobby. Safety: Key required for elevator access, rooms and guest community areas of the hotel. Every guest, including guests guests, need to show ID at front desk. Food & drinks: Vending machines with soda, water and energy drinks only. Price on sticker on machine says $1.50 but price it actually charges is $2.50. Snack vending machine chronically empty.

What a great location and place for a Motel 6. I was treated very well by the front desk people and the whole crew of employees. The location of the Motel 6 in San Francisco is just down the street from Union Square and around the corner from Davies Concert Hall. There are bus stops on Geary Street and there are some Grocers and places to do your wash should you need either. During the morning the Motel 6 on Geary offers fresh hot coffee.

I normally enjoy my stay there. My now deceased brother stayed there when he came to visit Rooms: Generally clean and cozy I feel security could be stepped up as well as routine maintenance Nearby activities: I am a local so it was in a sense a vacation at home while away from home Safety: Several times when I stayed the door locks were damaged

For the location, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The 0illowsx could use upgrading, because they aren't that fluffy! The pillows are clean just not full enough for me!
