I have to give 4 stars because there were patients with very serious health issues who had to wait a significant amount of time. I understand that's the nature of the ER. But otherwise, my experience was world-class. All of the nurses, PAs, and techs treated me with kindness and respect. People actually listened to my symptoms and my medical history and repeated it back to make sure they had the story correct. I only have one other ED experience to compare it to but this was great, considering your reasons for visiting are because you're having one of the worst days of your life! I will definitely consider going to UCSF again if I ever have an emergency. I felt like I was in good, caring hands.

My wife is with a bleeding wound in her head and Its our 3rd hour of wait. She is in pain and I asked them twice to at least give her some Tylenol. Theyve said sure, just wait a bit and 2 hours later nothing happened. There is also no pharmacy on premises so I HAD TO USE INSTACART TO GET TYLENOL IN THE ER. This is beyond ridiculous.
