Very fresh and delicious Caesar salad; the dressing was light but had all the right caesar flavors without one overpowering the others. The sausage pizza was generously dressed with quality "saw-seeege". It was tasty even though it's not the best crust I've had lately. And the room itself is just cool - classic cool. It's the kind of room that makes you feel smarter and more successful after you've sat there awhile. Enjoy!

Ah, the Sausage Factory. Still providing a lovely pasta meal in the Castro. Delightful staff, delicious food, pleasant and comfortable environment. I'd say this is basic Italian food, nothing overly fancy here, but it's solid. Decent caesar salad, penne with sausage and broccoli rabe is perfectly spicy and oh so buttery rich, serving size too much for one person (at least this one person, it's probably standard fare for the average American).

Located in the Castro and been around for as long as I remember, the Sausage Factory is one of my favorite restaurants in the county. It's not a 5 star restaurant. I'd call it a top of the line 4 star restaurant. My latest visit I ordered a pizza with a well cooked crust and it was perfect. Also ordered a side salad which was good and enough to split with my friend. Overall The Sausage Factory get a high recommendation. 5 stars for a 4 star restaurant . Oh, and I live on the east coast so I do not get to visit often. And, TSF is not overpriced. Good deal.
