Noisy during the night and can only cancel 48h before. Outrageous.

We booked again at this hotel mainly because of the customer service and outstanding staff. Rachel at the front desk is very kind and intuitive, she knows what the clients need and always have a great smile on her face. The decor is unique and the bed is very comfortable.

I would stay here again- this is a good hotel for the price and location. It is not high end the way most of the pics on the site make it look, but that is pretty standard practice. Pros: - location is great right downtown. It's actually only like 2 blocks from the Ritz, but it is next to the tunnel and the street and exterior of the hotel look a little dingy from the outside, but it is warm and clean and smells great when you get inside. We walked to the pier and it took about 25 mins. -service: is excellent. Front desk attendants did a great job, they have a bell closet to leave your luggage in for the day. -remodel: hotel was recently updated. The rooms themselves are somewhat basic, but the bathroom was very nicely done. There is a nice lounge for working and reading. We didn't do the coffee/breakfast, so I can't comment. Price: regular $120 for a queen bed in this hotel seems like a good deal. We went with a king room, which felt a little cramped, but the extra bed space for $20 more was nice. Cons: -noise: the alleyway outside our room was a bit noisy and the window blocked hardly any of it. We could also hear people when they were walking in the hallway or above us. -decor was stylish, but kind of cheap -rooms were a bit cramped. ELEVATOR IS FIXED AND WORKS GREAT!!

A fantastic hotel - what people say about the scent is true this is one of the best smelling places on the planet. Breakfast gets the job done, ok coffee and good croissants. Rooms are good size and comfy bed and pillows. No shower door or barrier in bathroom so very intimate, but other rooms may be different. Pretty quiet after midnight we had no trouble sleeping 7 hours uninterrupted.

While cheap and a good location to explore Chinatown from, our experience was not great. The elevator was down the entire stay, so we had to hike up several flights of stairs every time we came or went. Bathroom was not entirely clean even after we asked for another once-over. Our keys stopped working one evening and we had to go wait for someone to show up at the desk and fix it. Kind of musty, not really the charming little place we'd envisioned.
