Only stayed for a short trip, no tub but it was a full size shower. The little coffee shop inside smelled incredible. Staff was all really nice. Room was chic and cozy at the same time; had a desk, coat closet, and mini fridge. Walkability: Smack in the middle of everything. Tons of food, shops, public transit, and bars near by

The accommodations in the hotel are very nice. The building is historical, dating back to the early 20th century, so standard rooms are small. Its clean and well-fitted. The staff are so lovely. The only thing is the area. Youre in the thick of the homeless problem. That said, great restaurants are around, and Uber is easy to access. I would absolutely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Axiom Hotel over the weekend! We were attending a show at Golden Gate Theater. So, accomodations close to the venue was very important. It was less than 15 minutes to the theater. We also were able to park off-site less than 10 minutes away from the hotel! There were also plenty of restaurants nearby! When we arrived to check in, there was a 10-15 minute wait as the room was in the process of getting ready. We went to the room once it was ready. And found that it was located directly above a cable car track. Being concerned about the potential noise, my girlfriend went down to request another room. The people at the desk out us into another room immediately. This room was towards the back and faced another building. We were very appreciative of this and the night's sleep could not have been better! The staff here were very accommodating, friendly and caring!

If it had been possible I would have given it 3.5 stars. I have a somewhat mixed opinion and not for the reasons I feared. In the neighborhood, it's true there are a lot of drug addicts and homeless people. I didn't come home at night, only after dinner and that was fine. I think if you are used to traveling you won't be afraid. But the neighborhood is really not pleasant. Many stores have closed. At the hotel, the prices are varied so no breakfast and those offered by the bar are correct but perhaps a little expensive for the quality. The room had everything necessary. The negative points are: very soft bedding, no ventilation and renewal of the air I was suffocating and I do not recommend it to people who have respiratory problems. There was 1 standing fan that I had to turn on even though it was only 18 outside, so in summer without air conditioning it must be unbearable. Finally, the rooms are not very well insulated so it all depends on the neighbors. I stayed 4 nights and sometimes I had neighbors slamming the door. Friendly and efficient welcome and reception except the night light. Overall it's a hotel that I wouldn't rule out but I might look for something better
