I booked my appointment for a root touch up for bleach and tone on style seat with Becks. Since I don't have the app downloaded, I never got notified when Becks CANCELED my appointment. The email that comes from the style seat app went to my spam so I had no idea. She did not call or text to notify me that my session was canceled or that she needed me to do a "color consultation" before she could do a bleach and tone root touchup. She could have very easily just switched my appointment to a 15 minute consultation instead of a whole root touch up, but instead she canceled the whole appointment and booked someone else. So when I showed up to get my hair done not only was I not getting my roots done today, she didn't have time to do her consultation that she apparently requires. She says that it says so when you book, but it is not on the booking. I was able to click the service I wanted and it says nothing about needing a color consult first. You can see this in the photo attached. If I were getting all over color I would totally understand her needing a color consultation to make sure the appointment was made for the correct amount of time. But with a basic root touchup specifically for a bleach and tone where the appointment says you must already have all over bleach, I feel that this was completely unnecessary and if she absolutely requires it, she should make sure to call or at least send a text to clients when she cancels. If she would have sent a message or called, I would have gladly switched my appointment to a consult. Not to mention that she was rude with me when I walked in as well as with the woman she was just finishing up (10 minutes after my appointment time started). She had zero patience or empathy for the other woman who was trying to figure out how to use Venmo to pay her! I would definitely not want to sit in someone's chair for hours to get my hair done when they have such bad attitude. I was excited to find a new hairstylist in the city but looks like Poppy and Finch is definitely not it!! Completely unprofessional, I do not recommend!!!
