This company is seriously amazing. They help me immensely in a serious time in my life. I was able to purchase a car and get my license back thanks to all of JVS support. I will be forever grateful for this company. This is not a fake review this is just a new email account for me. If youre in need of help with getting to and from work, with car/license issues, union dues, clothing, all kinds of things. Thanks guys!

I got turned away from a program there and was told that it was because I was under-qualified, when I challenge it, I was told that I was overqualified, when I challenge that, I was told they help vulnerable diverse group when I told them all the ways I am vulnerable and diverse (black, female, special needs, immigrant, queer, parent, single, low-income, at-risk, etc.), they man whom I spoke to said I was playing "oppression Olympics". I think I was turned away from the program specifically for the reasons I listed, when the news came to me (rather surprisingly), I was already in the final phase of enrolment, having checked all the boxes, done orientation and met my classmates, a significant amount of whom were white, gainfully employed, accredited, men. I get a feeling that its a "certain kind" they do and don't want to serve despite what their website and the funding that they get says. Update: I emailed about this issue as per the reply on here and could not have been ghosted harder, but like I said this place is about optics of assistance whilst serving those within their circle and perpetuating Black hate.

I think their intentions are true and grand. They can be 100% supportive to some. But at same time really missed the mark on inclusion and diversity in program its specifically why I applied to only find out program really had nothing to do with inclusion and diversity. Being a women of color with disabilities it is key to be part of program that can include me and people like me. that was not the case with JVS which makes sense im curious to know the training they have attended to incorporate inclusion and diversity. They def had no problem supporting the non-minority in cohort. I could barely even get questions in as no zoom etiquette and at the bottom of the totem pool. I wasnt only minority or disable person that felt we were left hanging. again great intentions but completely missed the mark and very messy programs(especially since this isnt first time running program was a bit shocked). I would of been a bit better off on the path that i was on before JVS.
