Finding a good dog trainer early in your puppy's life is paramount to having an awesome relationship and experience with your dog. Jorge is incredibly gifted in knowing how to handle all kinds of dogs while also being patient and communicative when teaching his clients. We hired Jorge to help our dog Walter with his very bad reactivity problems. Walter has made amazing progress and is often with us in crowded public areas with many other dogs, something we could not fathom prior to training. Additionally, Walter is often praised for his great behavior when handed off to other caretakers. I highly recommend Jorge and think you will immediately recognize his expertise as a dog trainer.

Jorge transformed the way I interact with my puppy dog Rio. My family wanted a dog for the longest time. Being attacked as a kid, I was scared and fearful of having (or even interacting) with a dog. I never had one before. After years of saying no, I was recommended to the most supportive (and patient) dog breeder (aka Lauren from @daintydoodledogs on Instagram), I decided to say yes. It just felt like the right time for our family and for myself. Still, I was very scared. A month in, back in November, things were not going well, Lauren introduced us to Jorge Mendiola, who transformed our family relationship with Rio. Rio went on a 4-week dog training program followed by 4 family sessions. It was SO worth it!! I went from thinking of returning Rio or giving him away to truly immersing myself on Jorges private lessons, videos, instructions and recommendations. Jorges dog training transformed our relationship with our puppy and the way we interact with him. It was the exact type of training for the dog AND for the owners (which we really needed!). I now love having Rio, look forward to spending time with him, am not fearful and actually love having him on our family. George is a lifesaver. When I got my *spicy* rescue dog Noah, he would break loose from the leash to run after cars, lunge and bark at strangers walking by, and have major issues with other dogs even from a distance. That was not sustainable. George helped me understand Noahs BIG feelings and how to set myself (and my dog) up for success. From my time with George, I have gained an incredible amount of confidence as a dog owner and I was able to see significant changes in Noahs behavior throughout our 12-week program. There have also been a few unexpected benefits from our involvement with Stanfurd K9 one is the strengthened relationship Noah and I have developed from working on trust and understanding each others limits. Another is the community George provides, particularly with other reactive dog parents, which is totally invaluable. We wrapped up our twelve weeks almost a month ago, and I still benefit from the training Noah and I had with George, Standfurd K9 is the best investment I have ever made that has equipped me (and Noah) with tools that will last a lifetime.
