Sunshine Child Care

A five-star review just won't do justice to the gratitude and love we have for Amy. She is truly a joy, and puts her bubbly, vivacious personality into every interaction with us and the children she takes care of. She has taken care of our daughter since she was just two months old. Our daughter loves Amy as a second mother, and performs with such good cheer and heart, that we regard her as member of our family. Amy provides each child with extraordinary care and attention, and it shows in every aspect of her daycare. The place itself radiates happiness, and somehow manages to be spotless and tidy even with a pack of toddlers tearing up the place. Each week there are new toys, rotated into the mix from a vast toy library that has taken over the garage. Amy does all the cooking from scratch using only organic ingredients. She gets up early and makes a new batch of beef or chicken stock every morning -- the basis for her delicious porridge which she ladles out at lunch time. After all the children leave, she stays up to sterilize all bottles and nipples anew, every evening. But most impressive is not just how hard she works, but how well she works. Amy is a baby-whisperer like no other I have ever seen (including Dr. Spock). When our daughter started day care she was a fussy eater and a poor sleeper. But now, thanks to Amy's magic and regular scheduled meals and naps, she has a healthy appetite and sleeps through the night. If I could I would give Sunshine 10 stars: its really that good.

Our 1 1/2 year old has been with Amy since he was 3 months old and we feel like we got so lucky to find this daycare. Amy and her staff and family are so good with all the kids and my son loves going every day. The space is clean and full of fun stuff to do, there's a great outdoor area to play in, and they go out of their way to make healthy snacks and meals for the kids. As first time parents, Amy has helped us so much with all kinds of things like napping and introducing foods. Sunshine is much more than a daycare, it's like having an extended family taking care of your little one. We love having our baby there and most importantly, he loves it too.
