I came to Emilys office through my pediatrician, I was suffering with severe digestive issues and could not get through my days in school without stomach pain. She ran some functional medicine tests and came up with a plan, i experienced rapid relief immediately. As we went deeper into the issues she helped me with my hormones and severe monthly mensural cramps. I learned a new way of living and staying healthy as well as fixing my defective issues. I strongly recommend Emily to anyone with health problems especially with digestive issues. Her approach with functional medicine helped me more than everyone I saw before her. I have been a patient of Emily Navas' for over 6 years and have been treated for many health impediments from peri-menopause, tennis elbow, knee issues, trigger finger as well as treating me for work/personal stress which cause issues with sleep and personal well being. She also provided treatment after knee surgery for a torn meniscus. Her acupuncture treatment has helped me in ways that have changed how I approach healing for my body and manage pain. Her knowledge of Chinese herbs and medicine has been most helpful and has actually changed my life. I personally have struggled with hormonal imbalance, cystic acne, painful periods, migraines, and I also struggled with IC (interstitial cystitis) which I was deemed incurable by many doctors and specialists. FINALLY I am healed and can eat normally and not have any discomfort. I havent felt this healthy in years!! I have Energy and feel like myself again. She puzzle pieces together my complete health history and thinks outside of the conventional medicine approach. Between Chinese medicine, acupuncture and functional medicine I have been healed. If it were not for this approach I would be stuck in a vicious cycle of invasive procedures and pharmaceuticals and constant Dr. appointments that would leave me physically and mentally dead and BROKE! When I came to Emily I had been suffering from intense acid reflux and gut issues for months after having to take a strong round of antibiotics and prednisone prescribed from a doctor on a trip overseas.
