this school is amazing!!!all the teachers are soo nice and really want you to succeed and graduate!!its such a fun and comfortable environment!!they also have snacks available when you get hungry such as cereal,healthy chips and bars.i graduated a few months back and i miss it already!!if ur planning on going to this school just go!!!you wont regret it!! :)

This is an Independent Studies Charter High School. Contrary to what the glorified babysitting service known as LAUSD will tell you, this school services all high school students, including those in need of flexible schedules due to high functioning, low functioning capabilities, behavioral needs, family needs, etc. This is the future of education. My children did concurrent college enrollment throughout their high school years here - for free. With this, they had access to so much more than traditional district schools can offer through their very limited AP classes variety and unnecessary increased class hours. Students also have flexibility for work, particularly industry and independent work. You won't get a better public school opportunity than independent studies. This is customized education, not cookie cutter district school education. Students graduate early. The staff here is attentive and helpful. School is all year around. Hours & attendance flexible. A principal who makes time for parents/students/families and truly cares. I will definitely provide 5 stars once they have an online system to log into a parent/student portal of which provides school info, announcements, event calendar & deadlines, progress reports, online textbooks, etc. Oh - and more club sports/activities.
