I am really disappointed by the executive directors bad behavior and poor customer service regarding an item that was sold to me with damage (I was not told it was damaged and it was missed by their team). I had been there plenty of times before and thought that this was a good place managed by good people. I was wrong. The response below illustrates just how unwilling he is to admit that he made a mistake. He refused to even look at the damaged item. I respect the mission but Im shocked that he thought his aggressive tone, threats, and cursing was appropriate even if he thought I was being unreasonable. Thats not how you present your image as a pillar of the community. Please explain how you can put screen burn on a TV (something that takes HUNDREDS of hours) within the 10 minutes it took me to notice it and bring it back the first time? Please tell everyone that you are baselessly accusing me of fraud rather than taking responsibility for accidentally selling a broken item. Is it ethical to not mention no returns until AFTER the item is bought? I had to initiate a chargeback on my card because I was sold a damaged item and he became enraged when I tried to reason with him. I donated the chargeback money to another charity.

I love this thrift store! Great selection and good prices. Everyone is so friendly and they do great things for the community. I always find something to take home at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Ignore these negative reviews! Their website says "100% of the net proceeds have benefited HIV/AIDS organizations in San Diego and San Diego County" so I really don't think they are raking in cash as some have stated. Love that they help those in need. Also, I encountered very nice staff and I didn't see anyone being treated rudely in the store. As for the store itself? There's a lot of good stuff in there!!Still much cheaper than buying new for many of the items. Nice Sunglasses were $5 and a mug was $2. pearl necklace for $8. Yes, some things are a bit pricer, but if you look you can find some really cool stuff that is absolutely worth it. A lot of times I go to a thrift store and can't find anything, but not this place. I left with 6 things and I was very happy!
