I highly recommend Ed as an extremely competent CPA. He has been our business and personal accountant for 20 years! In that time he has helped me with a variety of many issues and is quite knowledgeable. His personal service is top notch. For example, he recently called to advise me about the several debt relief programs offered by the government for my business. During this Covid-19 economic crisis his assistance was definitely appreciated! His fees are competitive, but one of my favorite qualities is that he is accessible and easy to reach, (especially for that "quick question"), which is not common with big firms and in our busy world. Yes, Ed actually answers his own phone!

We had a terrible experience with Mr. Simpson doing our 2018 taxes, and certainly WILL NOT use him again. From our perspective, he ids sloppy and pays little attention to detail. He could not even spell our last name correctly. The first return he sent for review was riddled with errors. We notified him for corrections. This happened about 3 or 4 times. I basically ended up having to comb through our taxes line-by-line and should have, in the end, just done them myself and saved the money, because paying him did not save us time. After filing, I looked them over again and noted that he had completely omitted adding the rental income we receive from a second property as income. So, the tax professional we used this year STILL had to correct his errors and file an amended return for the previous year. While Mr. Simpson was professional in his correspondence and dealings with us, his work with numbers was not.
