The front desk staff emphasized that children under 12 are not allowed in the office, even though there were no signs or information provided beforehand. The physician assistant was dismissive during my appointment, suggesting that if patients making over $20 million a year can tolerate the pain, then so should I. While the orthopedic surgeons at UCSD are amazing, it seems that surgeons in the fancy offices cant be bothered to give regular patients the time of day.

My very first surgery! I was a bit worried and unsuspecting. I guess that's the best way to go. I didn't think he meant it, when he said 6 weeks recovery. Geezy! Definitely be prepared to miss your foot! Dr. Ian Foran is very nice and professional. My first post op appt. He thought it was funny that the first thing I asked was if I can have my foot back... I mean... I really missed it! No shoes, no baths, no pedicures for me for a bit. Ugh! I'm almost fully recovered. Thank you for taking care of my foot! Hopefully there will not be a bad scar and I can wear heels and flip flops comfortably again! The office is a bit tricky to find. The plaza level is actually the lower level.  It's actually easier directly from the street to get to the office. They validate parking or if you're lucky you may be able to find parking on the street.

I have seen Dr. Bryan Leek 3 times so far.  The first time was my right wrist.  He was very conservative and detailed.   I had an MRI from outside of UCSD which he reviewed and he notice a few things.    I went back to see Dr. Leek for a left upper arm pain that had been going on for a few years due to been impressed by him on the first visit   This cause of the pain could not be figured out by 2 primary doctors, and an orthopedic surgeon in the past.     Dr. Leek did a very detailed exam,  and  order some x-rays.  Dr. Leek told me that 3 possible causes could be the shoulder, arm or the  neck.  He ordered imaging for the shoulder and arm.       He told me the only way to make sure it was the neck was an epidural.   I had an epidural done in the neck at a different hospital and the pain in the arm went away.       I followed up with Dr. Leek for both the right wrist and left arm pain.  My left arm is much improved after the neck epidural.   Dr. Leek was correct about that been a possible cause.   I was able to lift more dishes.   Dr. Leek is doing surgery on my right wrist so will update that after.  I think very high of Dr. Leek.
